IF/Twin Falls gunsmith

Anyone have a SE Idaho gunsmith recommendation? Live in Mackay, we go to IF a lot more than Twin but I’d be willing to drive down there if needed. Just need a couple barrels cut and threaded. I’ve been trying to get ahold of Kampfield with no luck, decided to see if there’s anyone I can go to in person.

Soldier Mountain Arms in Twin. Rob and Logan are good dudes and do good work.

There are a decent amount of hobby gunsmiths in Idaho falls, but none that I know of that I would trust with a rifle I really want to shoot well.

Thanks for the recommendation! Yeah I’ve found quite a few in IF with a google search, but I don’t want to use someone like that without good references.

I’ll also vouch for Rob and Logan. I’ve been squadded with them twice during NRL matches and each time walk away impressed.
They would 100% get my money.

Same thing, I haven't used him personally but have heard nothing but good from anyone who has.

If it’s just a cut and thread, look up D Wilson. You mail him a barrel, he does what you asked him to do, then mails it back. He turned a 2moa cromoly ar15 barrel into a .75moa tac driver.
I think I got an email about a 4th of July sale too.

That being said, Soldier Mountain Arms would still get my vote. Keeps the money in Idaho, and you’ve got a local person to talk to if you have issues down the road.
