Any opinions on the best individual trading platform? I’ve always used USAA, which is switching to Schwab this month. It would be a good time for me to jump ship if there is something better.

I’d say it depends on how active you trade. I use TD Ameritrade/Think or Swim and it’s great but I’m typically making multiple trades a day. My other account is with Vanguard and it’s downright atrocious for any kind of active trading. Fine I suppose for set it and forget it.

Anyone else think cdev is in trouble? cuts pay of top officers, closes majority of wells and is down value from 6 billion in 2017 to 327million today?

Its up to .95 ( almost 5 per cent) in after hours trading with very high volume ( over 34 million)

In fact most of the oil stocks that took big hits today are up after hours with very high volume trading which is unusual especially [;for a Friday. Take that info and interpret as you like.

Still in speculators mode it appears.

So that was released before market close and it is up roughly 5 cents a share after hours. These little shady companies are so hard to gauge how they will be affected.

I sold a handful of stock today. Pocketed around 25% gains. I'm speculating some more dip coming next week. Should give me the opportunity to buy back in and grab some other companies I've been eyeing. Seem like a lot of the big dog companies reported earnings this week and got the speculators buying and pushing up the market. Not sure if there will be as much excitement next week. That's my wild ass guess anyway.

They are following the same strategies that pretty much all oil related companies are doing right now. Cut spending/decrease op-ex in every way possible. They have earnings coming out next week and most analysts have them as favorable.

Earnings should be out on Monday. I have a relatively small stake in them (5k) and almost took my profits today after hours. If I had a larger stake, I would have probably sold. I hit 3 of my trailing stops today and took profits but overall a down day.

Anyone bought ino stock? Been buying and selling it for a couple years now. Seems to have some promising data on covid 19 drug. Up and down, exciting for day trading

I got in at $8.00. Should have dumped it when it doubled but was hopeful for the Covid progress. Still thinking it keeps trending up.

Warren Buffet announced today that Berkshire sold off all their airlines holdings this past week. 200 million on shares of Delta, Southwest, American, United, all sold. I think it will be a bad Monday for the airlines.

Just read that as well. I don’t think they rebound very fast, there will be a whole lot of virtual business instead of flying cross country for meeting in the next couple years.

I also see that he’s kept Almost all of BH cash, I think he foresees a long rough period, better buying opp.

I got in the 8‘s as well and held all week even though it was rough. Think it could be a good one.

I spent 40K on stocks Friday, really sold nothing, everything was down. Gotta await those really red days to shop and get it done. I felt like I bought a bit high on some, but stocks are gaining value slowly.
Friday's lows could continue on Monday, futures should give some insight tomorrow night.

As these stock consistently gain, more aptly regain, their pre-covid value I try to figure a percentage on the new 'high'-to-next-dip ratio with each step up and buy accordingly. So far so good, but I've left some meat on the bone too with sell limit orders. Things are trending up slowly but surely and it's easy to miss that new high ($) with a sell. Set too high and the stock misses the sell and heads right down on rough days--opportunity lost. Set too low, profit lost as well.
It's nuanced.
I have no idea ultimately, but I'm thinking we have from March to August ? to really take advantage of this market for serious money. I miss alot of March trying to learn the system. April was very profitable. Overall I'm striving to triple my original investment.
The exception left to fly on it's own is CDEV. At 20K shares (and I'm done with adding unless its 40 cents) it's sink or swim, but I'm hopeful that in 15 months it will be worth six figures.
If that happens I hope some of you are right there with me.
