No of course they dont. Same as I dont use that language when im talking to a customer or at a business meeting.
It has become crystal clear in this thread that a lot of you guys have zero understanding as to what a podcast is. Its a Talk Show. A digital radio program. Some of you guys would have passed away if you ever listened to the Howard Stern Show back in the day.
The reason podcasts are taking over is because they are ungoverned, unregulated and people can say and do whatever they want. The owner of the podcast doesnt report to anybody. That's why people listen, because its real unscripted content.
Shoot2Hunt is 2 buddies having an unscripted conversation with each other about what ever topic they choose to discuss. They are being themselves. If you dont like them dont listen.
You have to physically seek out the podcast and press play, if you dont like the podcast dont listen to it. That's it. Period.
Asking these guys to water themselves down and not be themselves because you are offended by words is insane.

Well, I didn’t ask anyone to water down anything because I’m offended. I simply asked if this is how they comport themselves normally. I don’t know them and was just genuinely curious.
If it’s not “who they are” in daily life, but how they want to act in the media, so be it. Although, unlike in, say, the movie Goodfellas, the podcast vulgarity isn’t largely additive.
It seems communication has been at issue for these guys both in their business and podcast, even though they apparently have good things to offer on both fronts. Following negative feedback, they’ve shown improvement on the business side, with more ample updates and a more often up to date website.
If they don’t want to or are unwilling to make a change on the podcast side, it likely only hurts consumption. If they don’t care, that’s their business. Don’t bother to pose the question then. Or maybe it’s all a big publicity stunt; sort of an attracting flies to the dung heap kind of thing. Idk.
But since they asked why not use vulgarity, and apparently they can turn the switch on or off, I’m not buying the it’s insane to ask them to change thing. The matter at hand is answering
why they should consider a change.
So long as they like how they comport themselves and don’t care to cater to those who’d prefer a different presentation, what’s left is simply a matter of do they care about the numbers and which slant optimizes listenership.
Would you stop listening if they cleaned it up? Or would that water down the entertainment such that the content wouldn’t be worth consuming?
