He can beat Hillary. Republicans won't vote for her and the majority of independents will go to Trump. I don't see any Democrat winning.

I don't know if you are right. I believe that the novelty of being nothing more than an anti-establishment bully who screams a lot but never really says anything will get old by the time the general election occurs. In a one on one debate with someone who has a brain (which he won't be able to avoid or run away from in the general election) he is likely to be exposed. He will lose the general election and it won't be pretty. Trump is the absolute worst possible candidate that the Republican Party could put forward. He is great at self-promotion. I'll give him that. His biggest issue is that he is worse than any establishment politician from either party about flipping positions and saying what plays well to the crowd today. He will get crucified in the general election if he gets the nomination.

U guys kill me. I don't want public lands sold off either but trump can't beat Hillary. He could barely beat sanders in a general election. He is more likely to divide us even more than Obama did. Look at the big picture not just the primaries. He only has 30% of republicans right now. If john kasich, Carson, and Cruz bow out then it's only a 2 man race and I think Rubio wins. I don't like Rubio but I lie him more than Hillary or sanders. Also, if u believe in the constitution then Cruz is the right choice, if not then oh well....don't know what to say. It's tough I don't disagree with trumb on a lot of things but he is very divisive and I don't think he can beat hillary

You sound like everyone that said he wouldn't get the nod and now he is well on his way. Polls mean little once it is time to vote.

I don't think Trump is spewing hate, he's just not sugar coating the issues that are bringing this country down like every other typical politician does. I think many people are tired of all the BS anymore. Some of the stuff trump says is quite comical, because he calls it how he sees it. God help us if Hillary or Sanders gets in. Trump all the way

I don't think Trump is spewing hate....
Calling Mexicans rapists.
Calling for national database of Muslims with surveillance of mosques.
Mocking reporter with disabilities.

Trump is an entertainer and simply goes for shock value to remain relevant in the media. Whether he believes half the crap he spews, it obvious his die-hard supporters do.

He just received 46% of Hispanics in Nevada.

He won 46% of hispanics who participated in the Republican caucauses. In a state with a population that's nearly 30% hispanic, less than ten percent of the participants in last night's caucauses were hispanic.

Trump may say things that are not PC but that is because he speaks in the moment. I don't think he hates any group but it is very true that tons of Hispanic criminals are crossing our border and the ones that were deported just keep coming back. Yes he made it sound blanket but everyone knows he isn't talking about all Hispanics.

I'm all for stricter rules for Muslims entering our country, their religion hates us, while not all Muslims are violent until the threat goes away it is war and we have to protect ourselves. If your so against watching mosques why not go to Iraq and open up a church and see how your treated. We all know many Muslims are good but can you tell me which are and which are not when many mosques preach hate against western culture?

If Trump weren't such a braggadocios man it would be easier to support him. Can't help but think "pride comes before the fall" when I hear him speaking.

Does anyone know where he stands on the public land federal vs. state ownership?

I believe his sons are pushing hard to keep it Federal and Don Jr says in the bowsite interview only position he could see himself wanting is the head of the dept of interior.

I believe he is pro federal lands. I did email his campaign with that question, didn't get an answer but they probably get 10's of thousands of emails a day.

DONALD TRUMP:

Over 80% of the State of Nevada is “owned” by the federal government. The issue is not that so much of the state is public land; it is how that land is managed. The Department of Energy and the Department of Interior must find ways to work with state and local governments to make sure that public lands are used to the best purpose. As President, I will make sure that the Department of Interior and the Department of Energy give as much access to the people of this country as possible and that these departments will make sure that useful development of the land for cities, counties and the state will not be hidebound in needless bureaucratic red tape. Congress should address this issue on a much larger scale and make the determination on how federal lands should be managed by the executive branch, state and local governments.

My stepfather is from Brooklyn Ny and we talked past each other for years . Whenever he was challenged or stressed he would be in your face , loud , and often a braggart. Half hour later it was as if nothing had happened. I came to understand it was a cultural thing with guys from NYC from that time. My stepfather is about the same age as Trump and I recognize the same in your face and over the top attitude. My stepfather is a really great guy and once I understood him and didn't take it all so personally we got along fine. 40 years of living in the south has definitely mellowed him and after a career as a salesman doing big dollar super high pressure sales he "retired to teaching sales at Florida State. He is tough on students but they love him. He gets calls from past students from a decade ago all the time still asking his advice. Don't let the facade of Trump fool you , you don't survive the hyper competitive business world by being a crazy idiot. Trump may lead with his heart at times and have to walk back things said in the moment but he's a sharp operator and I have all the confidence in the world that he'd make a great president.

FIFY. Also most mass shootings in this country are perpetrated by white males, should I be concerned that all white males are about to shoot up a school or movie theater? Of course I shouldn't. Taking the actions of a very small number of people and applying that to all members of that group isn't very helpful in addressing real problems in the country or world.

But I'm guessing that your stepfather didn't used to go on the Howard Stern show and brag about whose girlfriends he'd slept with in order to humiliate them...it's more than a regional quirk, I think. Just think about this...a potential candidate for the nation's highest office used to appear on Howard Stern to talk about his sex life and discuss his ex-wives' bathroom habits....

And who says he's a sharp operator? He inherited a fortune, grossly underperformed the stock market, and four of his companies have filed for bankruptcy. He's rich in spite of himself, not because of himself.

Trump certainly hasn't been a lifetime politician grooming his reputation for sure and most inherited fortunes are lost by the next generation which he hasn't done. I don't hold my friends or politicians to anything close to a puritanical standard. You have to be an egomaniac to even begin to want to be president so all the candidates are egomaniacs and I trust the one who's appetites I can see and understand much more than those who carefully hide themselves.

Do we really need to make a list of past Presidents public sex lives? I'm not sure that is an indicator of how good a president can be. Lots of people loved JFK and Bill. I'm from Arkansas, and if even half the stories from his days of governor were made public, people would cringe that he was our President.

And I believe the majority of white males doing the shooting are democrats. But far more people are killed by drunk drivers then guns so take up that battle first. Now go to a Muslim country and tell me how many think any American of any other faith is a good person?

Well I guess I know where he stands, was watching one of his speeches in NV and he says he WILL transfer all federal lands back to the states. This isn't the only topic but is a big one to me, way more important then immigration IMO. I hope he doesn't get the nod and ruin one of the best things our government has ever done for the American people that isn't a disaster.

The actual words used by Ted Cruz indicate that he would like to “return full CONTROL of Nevada’s lands to its citizens.” There was no mention of selling or giving away land and I’m not sure how state management of these lands would be a bad thing. 85% of Nevada is owned by the federal government, most of which is managed by the BLM. And the swaths of private land are littered with a checkerboard of BLM parcels. It is easy to see why there is a lot of conflict.

Any mass selloff of public lands would require action by congress. As hunters we need to be careful about falling for left wing talking points and propaganda. A lot of our liberty is at stake in this election.
