Why is this always said, every election?

Because it's not even remotely hidden that the libs absolutely hate the 2nd Amendment. And then throw in the so-called conservatives in this country that are ready to give up rights and liberties, and it's a tough battle. That's why.

In 2013 Colorado banned the sale, purchase, or possession of magazines that hold more than 15 rounds. Every now and then I find a great deal on something I want from out of state. Then when I try to buy it, the seller won't even think about shipping to CO because of that ban......even without the magazines. Is that law an infringement on my 2nd Amendment rights? Absolutely. So that law forces normal law-abiding individuals to become criminals in the law's eyes just by exercising our 2nd Amendment rights.

These are the little things that get passed that even some conservatives don't see as a problem, yet they've just given up rights because it might not directly affect them. One of these days that will all catch up and it will affect them.

Why is this always said, every election? Like Tips said, what has passed under the last Dem that made it so you can't buy a gun?

Well, because it is important in every election and is always at the forefront. You may not think that that right is important but I however, do. That being said, if my president or any other elected government official is talking about gun control, I will ALWAYS vote against them as I am black and white on that issue. I don't like any of the choices in this election but believe me, I would and will vote AGAINST any form of more gun control and I could be wrong, but democrats are the ones talking about it.

While I can completely understand your grievance that's at the state level. Not federal. How come you can't get a petition going and have the people vote to change it?? Just like you said would be so easy for management of land if states took over?

1. Wether I agree or not, mandating that everyone have health care is not controlling it, you can choose whatever health plan you would like, as long as you have the coin...

2. This is a direct result of capitalism... So not sure what your going to do about that, if you don't like being poor, work harder or find a better job or move.

3. Don't have much to add

4. While far rights like to constantly shout the 2a is under attack, what has actually passed in the last 10 years that affects your ability to go buy a gun? Serious question. Try not to use the first buzz column that comes up on google search. Also coming from a guy who chooses to live in CA, this point is pretty pathetic, your self imposing some of the most strict regulations in this country.

5. Hmmm, I am pretty sure I pay for my house, my food and I make my wages...

6. With the internet you can pretty much choose whatever you want to read and listen to all tv media at this point is borderline propaganda for the left or right. If your referring to schools teaching things like evolution and advanced sciences I'm not sure how I see that as a detriment. This also gets back to people parenting their children, teach your child to listen and judge for themselves. Which ties into the next point as well.

7. It was never meant to be there in the first place... So again irrelevant

8. Again a product of capitalism, would you rather everyone makes exactly the same and gets everything the same? Some rise, some fall that's how it works.

All you do is post things that take 10 seconds to read and sound good, you never research the history, you never read behind the text for substance... I'd venture a guess you don't even know who or what Saul did..

Go vote for comrade bernie, he'll solve everything.

I guess some people have never heard of the assault weapons ban that was imposed by the federal government. ...they might be the same people that blame everything on capitalism.

Did that pass in the last ten years? Or was that initiated during clintons time??
Could you provide the citation, and date?
Bernie is a joke so I think I'll pass on that option.

If you bothered to read what I responded to I am not the one blaming capitalism.

In 1994 "assault weapon" ban was passed.

This wasn't a statewide election issue. Dems held the Gov spot, and majority in the Assembly. They forced it through even though almost all the county sheriffs in the state opposed the law. When they held a discussion on it, they wouldn't allow the sheriffs to speak against it and it was forced through and signed by the Governor into law. The Senate President and two other senators actually got recalled from that debacle, he and another lost in recall elections, and another resigned over it. But we still have the same lousy Governor and the Dems still hold a majority.

This was just an example on a local level, however the national level isn't any better. Look at Obama's views every time he opens his mouth....."The San Bernardino attack wasn't a terrorist attack, it was gun violence". Yep, those guns can get pretty violent. And Hillary is more vocal than he is about wanting gun control. It's no secret that's for sure. There are a lot of people in this country that would trade liberty for perceived safety at the drop of a hat. I'm not one of them.

That's shitty, no recourse in getting it overturned, or nullified?

Nothing at the Federal level because the Republicans hold both the house and senate. If that weren't so and Scalia had died earlier you would have Australian style confiscation. The Constitution is meaningless toilet paper under the "living document" legal theory of the left.

Makes me sick, literally sick to my stomach to hear him suggest we should lose our public lands and be more like the eastern states, or worse, Texas.

Cruz gets the nob for the republicans I don't think I can vote, not just this issue but overall he seems very sleezy to me for some reason. I feel he'll say anything to get elected, standard politician in my mind and really Rubio lost a lot of respect when he made the joke about Trumps small hands must mean something else is small.

At this point I don't think a vote is possible, Cruz-nope, Rubio-nope, trump-nope, Hillary- nope, sanders-nope.

They are all terrible, and personally I would be embarrassed to tell anyone I voted for any of them at this point.

Trump or Sanders pick your poison.

I am so anti Cruz at this point I think if he did get the nod and I lived in a state that my vote actually mattered then I would vote against him and take my chances.

The single biggest issue for me is who is replacing Scalia and the next SCOTUS. That is much larger than any lying figurehead. I do think Trump is the only one that can beat Hillary. Rubio has wrecked his political career.

Reminds me of this video that I have to dig up from time to time for those that think capitalism is the source of our problems...
