That's funny stuff Sneaky, I've seen big bucks while I've been checking trail cameras before, and they never even showed up on the cameras. thanks for the photos.

OK guys it's been a whirlwind couple of weeks and I have not had time to update this thread. More bucks showed up just before the archery season opened with this one being the best one.

He's a good wide buck, but I found another buck in a completely different area that is even better. So the day before the archery season I pulled this cam. they'll be hunters in the area and I don't want it stolen. Plus the whole debate on "can I guy just sit at home and drink coffee and wait for the pics to show up before he goes hunting? ". No one's going to accuse me of that one.

I can tell you I'd highly recommend these GXW cameras if you have areas that are either a long ways from home or just very difficult to check cameras. I don't think they're a complete game changer, but they do expand your reach, and although they are about three times the amount of money as lower end cameras, you'll probably save that much in wear and tear on your vehicle in time. In over 60 days, I only missed two photo transmissions due to tower updates.

The data plan is relatively cheap, the battery life phenomenal (at the settings I used). My cam was in the field from about June 24 to August 29. When I pulled the camera, it was still reporting 100% battery, and 92% SD capacity. I did not get a chance to try any video, but with this much storage and capacity, I wouldn't be afraid to try it on a limited basis.

Once I have time, I'll pull the SD card and post photos at the normal resolution, remember all you saw on this thread are screenshots from my iPhone, so their quality is low.

Thanks everyone and thanks Black Ovis.

I'll report on the G34 in the next few weeks, I haven't checked it since I started scouting hunting hard.

Looking forward to Ryan's updates, as his GXW camera is running from northern Idaho way up on a big big mountain

He grew a decent amount from the 14th to the 23rd. Split got bigger on the smaller side.
