The bucks showed up just after dark on Wednesday night. Clock says 8:38 but it's running an hour early, not sure if I goofed it up or it's a glitch. Cam has been out since June 24 and seems like it caught the first buck to walk by. He's got some potential, even this year.

The top pic buck and bottom pic buck (the one drinking) is the same buck. He's got good bases and some nontypical points.

I checked then non-wireless G34 today. The card reader I reviewed earlier works really well.

Cams been on a trail two weeks and only caught a young cow elk so far. These photos are directly from the SD card, so should be clearer:

This is the cam on the solar panel and as expected, 100% charge

I found another trail about 70 yards downhill that has more tracks, so I moved the cam to there for the next few weeks.

I upped my burst mode to 8 pics as trails tend to be slow. Still at 5 second pause, lowest setting.

Hey guys, got the official word from Stealth Cam.

When transmitting on low-resolution, I'm getting photos at 2MP, add a screen-shot to that, and you're seeing very low quality photos on this thread FROM MY GXW, once I pull the SD card, I'll have 8MP.

Why transmit at low-resolution? Battery life and data conservation. This cam is more than a 100 miles from home, so I can't just swap batts easily.

Data plan wise, how much does the GXW cost per month to run? And what network?

The exact amount is in an earlier post on this thread but I think we paid around $30 for three months of data. Must run AT&T or T-mobile

Hey Robby, in post #62 you mentioned the cam was running about an hour early. Have you noticed if it has done that again? I picked up 3 Stealth Cam G42NG cameras about a month ago and they have all jumped forward or backwards an hour when I go check them. I check to make sure the time is correct before I leave the camera and when I come back to check the chip, the time is off an hour. Interesting if you are having that happen too, there must be some kind of glitch with the clock.

Other than that, the cameras are awesome. I've got some good pics and have only had them up a week.

Hey Logan, I'm 90% sure I set it up correctly, including mountain time zone. Both Ryan and I have had the same thing so I do think there's a glitch. I double checked the time because I had the same thing happened at my house when I was testing it. I guess I could've screwed it up. I'll let you know as soon as I pull the camera but it still going to be a while. Like you, though, other than that I love these Stealth Cams

Do bears not mess with your solar panel on the 1 cam? Black bears here at home are hard and I mean HARD on cams. I'd love to have solar panel but that just isn't possible here.

Cool pics. I'm a trail cam nut. Been testing several Brownings myself

Weird. I have 2 Stealth cams that are older. 1 is 5+ years old and the other has got to be pushing 10. They are both still running great with no issues. I can deal with that though, so long as they keep taking pictures like they are!

I won't post more than these two pics on this thread, and you guys can remove if necessary. But they are from two Stealth Cam G42NG cameras.

Logan (and everyone) if you're running Stealth's, any version, any age, feel free to post on here.

Not many bears in these parts. I have had a moose tear up a solar panel a few years back. I try to hang them high but not always possible.

The bear box for the cam seems solid but I still think one could get a tooth into the lens/IR lights.

GXW been quiet for bucks. They hit that water just once. That's been the pattern in that country as there is other water. Got this cool pic. I think that's a rabbit in his mouth

Remember these are screen shots, not SD so resolution is low

I checked the G34. Looks like a porcupine chewed both the battery and the solar panel cords, and pulled them down. Little bastard. Had to make a field splice.

Cam only ran 4 days before he cut power so I'm glad I checked it. That's one great thing about the wireless GXW as you know if your cam is working. ( I've left cams out for a month only to find a few days photos before a problem occurred, then no photos!)
This buck showed up

He's about 8 yards from cam. The far buck in this one's about 15 yards

Cams set to Extended Range and I'd say it works pretty good. These photos are from the SD to my iPhone

Is there a lot of porcupines down there? Or are you just lucky:)
