Silencer Central Experience Needed

Fwiw I did a similar non SC purchase recently with Silincershop. It took about 6 weeks total from order, to form 3 approval (shop to shop transfer), to shipped, to come in and pay for the SS kiosk, 2 weeks for SS approval, certified in store and then off to ATF (6 weeks form buy to certified to be clear).

Not defending SC, but unless you are face to face in a local store it adds some time. And is frustrating. I wasn’t happy. But now I wait…..

(Reading through most of the SC complaints….this non SC process was within a few weeks).

Silencer Shop is typically slow like Silencer Central. If they don’t have the can in stock it does slow the process down and that’s not anyone’s fault but the Government.

Capitol Armory has always been super easy and fast for me.

Silencer central might be slow, but at least they are..... Con-sist-ent-ly slow.
Predictably so, every - single - step - of - the - way. You can count on it!
Even their service department is slow.

Recently I got an email from them.
I totally forgot, I had emailed their service department with a question on cleaning, 3 weeks prior.
The initial response was ;

" Thank you for reaching out to Silencer Central!

A member of our team will get back to you in 1-2 business days, if not sooner. "

I knew they would get back to me by the end of the year, so I just put it out of my mind.
Then I forgot, that's on me.

Just got a TBAC 7 from SC. Pretty painless other than I filled out a paper the wrong way which cost me a week.

I was going to get a takedown 22 but in the end went with a dead air mask 22. From what I’ve read, the takedown 22 and the mask 22 are both excellent and both could be considered the best rimfire suppressors out there. Eventually I’ll get a takedown 22 because….why not.
