I go back and forth. Sometimes I really think this is the ultimate troll. I just keep following like watching a shitty movie to end because you have to know how it's going to end.

Then sometimes I think about the people that are out there at the gun counter at walmart and start to believe it's real.
What upsets you? That I didn't have enough clearance on the adjuster? First trijicon I mounted. They are bulky. I was more worried about bell clearing barrel, and bolt clereance. Never though the damn ring would be so fat.

I think my shooting is better at my camp range, I let the barrel cool longer. At the range near my house, get bored sitting there. No cell signal.

Zerk, you're experienced mounting and torquing scopes and all that? I'm not implying anything just asking. I was hoping you'd report back with a good report after moving that scope back. Now I'm scratching my head.

torque wrenches, alignment dowels, levels, lasers. Not a pro but down a few.

First 2 shots were good. After adjusting they were not. I am thinking just shoot again later, Not enough cool down time for rife or me, light fading

I was focused on bell and bolt clearance, not the selector ring. My other rifles it is not an issue.

Not upset at all man. Just find it crazy that from first post until you're still have issues.
Hate that the credo is giving you some issues after recommending it. The power adjustment is pretty chunky. Rifles that have a 90° bolt throw can be difficult to get clearance on some scopes.
Looks like you can maybe move it back on pic rail slot and be good or maybe a size large ring height will fix things for you.

Bolts not an issue. I think moving it back farther has helped. I had it forward a bit, paranoid about scope eye. Never had it. Less shadowing.

I think one of main issues is consistent set up.

I don't care for credo rectile. But once I get past set up, it probably won't mater so much. The laser works for many. But I am not as whimsical as most about life, my job and life. I want back up for my back up. I work in job that does not forgive failures, and I see failures, so I know everything fails. Office people, can say LED last forever.

It really feels like a troll thread. No target photos, and it just seems impossible that anyone could legitimately try for 3 months and still be this messed up
I think it might be real I mean you ever heard someone talk at the gun counter of a big box store? Either way every time I open this thread it’s like a gut punch out of left field

For a hunting site, we got a lot drama queens. I guess sign the times, and what men are these days. Hopefully your wife lets you go hunt this fall. Only gut punch will be missing the big one, or wife saying no.

Glad the bolt clears.
You definitely don't want scope eye, that's embarrassing at camp.

I'm not office people but I do think that laser will last a pretty long time given you turn it off when you unload your gun back at camp or the truck.

My job doesn't allow for failures either. Trust me I know failures and F-ups and have seen my fair share in a few different industries for work. Don't even get me started about equipment failures.

So far at the range, each time I grab the rifle, the laser is already on. Maybe Ill get used to it. I think Ill like it in real world.

I am going to review other rifles and see if scope should come back. I don't think I overly focused on it in the past. But I have noticed these last few months. Maybe VX5 was to far forward.

Though I notice shouldering eye relief is fine. I think I notice it more at bench

When I mount a scope I close my eyes and shoulder the rifle (or have some, wife, etc shoulder) comfortably and then open the eye and slide the scope forward or back to attempt to center the ring with no black around the edges. This is done at max powa. Once set we test a few times shouldering with eyes closed again. I've never had anyone that ended up with the scope so far forward like that.
