Question Regarding Scope Elevation Adjustment on a Ruger No. 1 45-70

The tall Burris rings were far too tall and it brought the impact far too low. I had to get the "low" Burris rings and will hopefully do some shooting with those today/tomorrow. It would be nice to use both 250gr and 300gr bullets if I like, but I don't know if I have enough adjustment to handle both. In other words, I have a feeling I will be able to set it up one way or another but not both.

Which canted (moa) rings did you install? You should be able to change how much cant you’re introducing, I’d probably shoot for 15-20moa.
