Scope adjustment lag

Definitely. But other 3x9 work with medium base. This will force scope back. I thought it was already at nice spot

Back can be better than forward. But it was hitting my hat.

i just want to see a picture of whatever is happening. current clues:
power ring stuck on the rail, but somehow the turrets are the problem.
Turrets were the problem, but maybe stopped being a problem once the hat was put on.
Eye relief is wrong, or might be perfect, based on hat brim length.

Scope could be on backwards - that would account for the small rectile.

quite possible, especially if it's an angled rail - i could see contact with the power ring and the front of the rail.

my first guess was rotated 90 degrees clockwise, but your guess is more likely.

edit to add - having the objective to the rear would also cause more hat interference.

When did I mention turrets???????

Hat is not a concern, just mentioning farther back than normal.

Moving the scope back 1/8” shouldn’t affect your eye relief to the point of being unusable. If the eye relief is the same as the accupoint then you should be fine.

If no time for higher rings --> pull rail --> hacksaw off 1/4 inch --> remount. Or, just move scope back and adjust head position as 1/8 inch is pretty minimal.

You can replace the rail later. If it is bonded, heat will break it free. It is easy to rebound a rail.
