Here I was gonna put on a wig and cheat my way through the women's competition, but not with you ladies, I wouldn't stand a chance.

Here's my entry (under 50 group). Tried to do the resting in between smaller groups to see if I could get more overall, but it didn't work out quite as well as I'd hoped. And now I'm out of time to make another. Oh well, it was still a fun competition and good motivation.

After seeing so many people dig deep and try to improve on their max, I had to try and improve my own. I was able to get 120 total this go round.

Great job everyone!

We will start judging today, but give us a few days to come up with the winners.

Just so everyone knows how this will be working: I've got 6 total judges (all army guys) that will count each entry. We will then compare results and post up the winners. We WILL NOT post up the total # of push ups counted by each entry or with final winners, as I can see already people will complain. The final list will just be who placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

If you didn't lock out the elbow, the rep doesn't count

If you didn't break the plane, the rep doesn't count

So there's a lot of reps that won't be counted

I just watched the video above (the one from Ross) and the majority of those are very good push ups!

Ugh. I knew I forgot to do something on Saturday. I wouldn't have won, only could get to 93, but they were all good reps. Congrats to everybody out there that committed to this. Good for you!!

I wish I would have started sooner. After my first attempt on friday I watched the video and realized I wasn't locking out my elbows like I needed to. I tried again the next day and was pretty sore. Watching some guys and gals pump out the push-ups was impressive. Fun contest, thanks for putting it on Rokslide.

Would be a lot faster and easier to judge

Knuckles over the bar grip, dead hang for each one, chin over the bar at the top. Few will get to 20, heck few will get to 10!

How about weighted pull-ups? I'm all for regular pull-ups too though.
