Peax Duo Headlamps were won by @eod.mickelson @mtnrunner260 @king402 @Raider4044 @Bobrobheimer and myself.

I think there's some sort of gentlemanly agreement that prize winners provide some feedback, so I figured it would be easiest to have one thread for the five of us.

Deal. I've been using a Liteband the past couple years and I'm excited to compare the PEAX. Lots of hunts lined up this fall to test it out on. I'm anticipating that I'll really like the PEAX.

I hesitantly bought one before my spring bear trip this year and was very impressed. I back packed in for 6 days and didn't have to charge it once or replace any batteries. Really bright and like the red light as well.

Received in mail yesterday.
Thanks Brice.
Got it charged up and hopefully put to use soon.
I do like that the charger is the type c cord which more and more stuff seems to be going to.

Did you guys find good instructions?

I scanned the QR code in the box and it just went to the home page.

*added--> I did email Brice/Peax.

Good review and demonstration of headlamp features in this video. Got mine plugged in and charging right now. Going to try it out scouting tonight.

Yes, but the red light mode has nothing to do with game. It’s illumination that doesn’t trash your natural night vision when you turn the light off.

Same for me but found video of guy with blonde beard and used that.
Does seem like some text instructions, online or printed in packaging would be better.

For posterity...
-Red and white lights
-The USBc port is found by unscrewing the power button side
-Click to turn on
-If you click again at about 1sec, it will go dimmer one setting.
-There is High/Med/Low for both light colors
-Clicking through one color will land you on high for the other color
-If you click once past 1sec fro the prior click, it turns off
-If you double click really fast while is on, it will strobe for the color that is on
-If you triple click fast while it is on, it will cycle through 8 brightness settings for that color, click to stop it on the one you like. (this seems to be the only way to change brightness without ever going to the other color)
-If it is off and you hold the button down for 4sec it will lock it until the button his held again for 4sec

The power button turns red when on and it needs charged, the power button turns green when it is on the charger and full.

Anything else?

Used it last night on a hike/jog on thr trails.
It is plenty bright for sure. The brightest red light I've seen as well.
Stayed put while jogging and the tilt worked and held position.

I've used the lamp on several trail run/hikes, camping and backpacking trip now.
The light is plenty bright by any measure.
I like that the band is white on the inside. Makes it easy to find in the tent.
It stays put on head and tilt covers from your feet to eye level.
Seems to be constructed from quality materials.
I don't like how the type c charging cord is specific to the lamp. My phone charger doesn't work and when using the Peax cord on phone it charges very slowly.
A universal cord would be nice.
Overall I am impressed with the light and would recommend it.

That's what the manual says or just your experience?
I charged it out of the box and haven't since.

Yes. My phone charger, android will not charge the lamp.
The charger from the lamp chargers phone but says "slow charger, use one provided " and takes forever to charge.
