You think people shouldn't be wound pretty tight after the mess of the last 2 years? Of course we are wound tight. We are being told we need to force injections onto our employees or be fined out of existence. This is heavy handed government overreach.

It will ultimately land in court but not before the deadline when they start leveling huge fines on honest hardworking business people. How many small businesses are going to rack up fines hoping the decision gets over ruled? This is coercion plain and simple.
What if it is legal?

Last time I checked, we as Americans have a few unalienable rights.
I keep seeing this argument. I agree, but also feel that sometimes we need to keep reading:
“That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

You are right.
We have unalienable rights.
We also have put a government in place to secure these rights.
That government is charged by us with balancing our individual rights against the Safety of ALL the governed. Like it or not, our nation was built on the idea of freedom balanced against responsibility. Not just for ourselves, but for our families, friends, and communities.
Why does one person’s right to liberty mean more than another‘s right to life?

It's pretty amusing that the anti-vaxx crowd is objecting to this when their orange hero encouraged everyone to get vaccinated and bragged about creating the vaccine. What's truly ironic is that the anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers are the very ones that created a situation where a mandate had to even be considered.

You really can't make this stuff up.

To those looking to claim a religious exemption, you better hope those are handled differently then they were by the school district around here. The school board "granted" the religious exemption and then promptly put any teacher that claimed it on unpaid leave, indefinitely. My son lost 2 of his high school teachers last month to this garbage, including one who had just recovered from C-19 and obviously has immunity. The shortage of teachers is bad enough now that they dropped the minimum requirements to be a teacher in this state from needing a masters degree to now just a high school diploma. Obviously, it's "for the kids". Imagine the mess that has already started and will continue to grow with a lack of 1st responders and healthcare workers. "Build back better" must be doublespeak for "Tear down faster."
Hope they file a lawsuit for Religious discrimination.

One thing to consider is that this is from the Declaration of Independence not the constitution.

The Constitution was written to restrict Government not people. All of our rights are described in detail in the Bill of Rights. Which one speaks to the right to safety?

My company has not yet required vaccines, but they have been requesting that all employees provide their vaccine status for the last year. I have yet to provide mine and will continue to do so. None of their, nor anyone else's business.

We are a very large, publicly traded company and I fully expect to be let go in the upcomming months.
I just don't understand this mentality. I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be mean or nasty but our employers require us to provide all sorts of information to them. We have to provide all sorts of information to get our driver's license. We have to get insurance for our vehicles. We have to stop at red lights. Etc., etc. I just don't understand why some people - even those who have been vaccinated - would rather face unemployment and the loss of their homes and way of life than provide their vaccination status.

The other thing some aren't considering here is that the employees who have been vaccinated are entitled to a safe workplace. But the folks who refuse the vaccines or refuse to provide status don't seem to ever consider that.

A lot of people are vaccinated but oppose the mandate. Btw a huge percentage of your so called anti vaxxers are not trump supporters.

Why would assume we are all "ANTIVAXX"? Is your thinking this 2 dimensional on everything?

You’re so wrong on so many levels it’s sad. I think most are against any mandate no matter who it came from. I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention or your suffering from case of Joe dementia as well, you can still catch and spread Covid just as much as anyone else can. The same viral load and all that jazz. All the vaccine does is lessen your symptoms from running nose, fatigue, and a sinus headache to a runny nose, fatigue and a sinus headache.

Again my friend, getting this vaccine does not stop you from contracting or spreading Covid it just lessens the symptoms which for the vast majority of the population are minor. This is not an anti-vaccine or pro vaccine stance. It is currently a “science”.
