Went chukar hunting once, with a buddy. We hiked to the top of the damn mountain and the birds jumped up and flew down it. I repeat, I went chukar hunting, once.

Yup, those were Chuckar.. Prolly right to where you started your climb.

Elk - right where I live. Long season and all public land. Very limited competition.

Second choice - jump shooting geese in western Montana. I hate decoys.

I would have to go with whitetails on a farm my family hunted when i was growing up in place called Tolu, KY right across the river from Cave-In Rock, IL. We would camp, hunt, shoot pond turtles, ride four wheelers, and spend every night by a massive fire. Every weekend from mid September thru weekend after Thanksgiving was spent there from the age of about 5-14. Guess I'd just like to relive those weekends mostly.

My old hunting partner always said the chukar call went like this: Here I am. Here I am . Come and get me. Come and get me.

Elk. . . And torn between a beautiful long valley in a state to remain nameless, or a trophy unit somewhere in wyoming with lots of elk and not much pressure. Would have to be a unit where I can carry over from archery to rifle as well so I can stretch that season out and get picky after the first year or two.
