That doesn’t make sense. @NDGuy drew a deer tag with a 1.33 average, your buddy should have drawn with 2.

That’s the way the news goes when they decided to reserve tags for 0 pp holders. If you draw with 2 or 3 and renter with 0 you’ve got a very good chance of drawing two years in a row.

the draw gods have a mind of their own sometimes. My dad had 2pts, unsuccessful for the big game combo. Another friend, first time applicant with 0pts drew the same tag.

You guys are forgetting that even if you got an unsuccessful now through the back door you might get a combo license later, since there are a good amount of people (myself included) that will be returning their combo license if their permit draw is unsuccessful. Keep the hope BICs

How does this work - for the count of licenses sent back as rejected w/out drawing LE permit, do they just run a second drawing from among all of us who did not get the license in the first round?

Yes, they essentially do a "second drawing".

That’s not how Montana works.

That is exactly how Montana’s preference point draw for combo tags works.

If @NDGuy drew at 1.33 there is no way that someone didn’t draw with 2.

Hahaha, my brother applied with two points NR and he keeps telling me pending but he’s reading the wrong one! I looked him up myself! Looks like I’m the caller!!
