OK here is the deal. We are not going to debate if it is OK to insult people. The posts are there and as far as I know none have been deleted . Stop the unnecessary childish behavior-and that goes for the OP and the ones responding. If we cant do that we'll just shut it down.

If you have a problem with the way this is being handled-reach out to the powers that be.

I was just asking. Didnt mean to go ruffling any feathers.

Man acted like a spoiled child and was treated like one. Didnt see anything out of line with that.

I agree. I like it that way. I am on a few also-and they are sh**shows.

Please understand there is a difference between discussions and plain old arguing. If you don't have anything meaningful to add or if you just have to insult someone there are those other sites you reference.

Here is what’s wrong, often a new member starts off on the wrong foot but that doesn’t mean we beat them into dirt. Respectfully point it out then lead by example. If you want to continue with the low brow bullying, ego flexing pissing contests then 24cf is the place not here.

Sometimes. Dunno if its a generational thing or what. Get over on 24hr and seems like a bunch of old pricks bitching until they die......Get over onto Irate4x4 and it seems to run itself. Very little steering done by the mods. And yet things are pretty laid back. Lot less princesses over there though.

I lived my first 34 years in NY. Once you are an hour outside of NYC, it is a beautiful game rich environment with conservative political views. Unfortunately, all of those people are misrepresented due to the 15 million people in NYC, Westchester, and Rockland County.

For that reason, I packed up my family and moved 2300 miles west 4 years ago and couldn't be happier.

I used to think I disliked New York. All I knew about the place was the reputation. But I made friends from there through work, and have visited them in the upstate a few times now and I feel completely different. I’ve been gone up there to hunt with them once.

And Texas… thought I liked the idea of it until I spent some time there and had the exact opposite happen.

I dealt with shipping a gun to an FFL in CA once. Never again. I also just exclude CA, IL and NY. It's not worth it at all.
It’s likely there were some massive ignorance going on there . Unfortunately many ffls make up laws to follow so they can get Bucky beaver badges from the BOF . Providing you are not shipping in a prohibited item ( per ca don) there are no hoops to jump through. in-fact non-ffls can ship to ca all day long .
So in my eyes it’s idiots making up laws and the fools that believe them that are the problem .
And as a note I don't know a single Californians who’s family was here before 1950 that is even remotely close to a liberal .
It’s all the weirdos that came here and we are working on shipping them back . So take that

Oh there was. I even pointed out the laws to the fll. He was having none of it.
Theres no way for a seller to vet an ffl in those states and it's also kind of hard to keep up with the unlawful rules of the month.
The safest corse of action for me by far is to just not deal with it.

There are 19,867,000 people in NY according to what the google machine says. And over 19,000,000 of them live in the NYC metro area. Its understandable that people
make generalizations about NY based on that.

I grew up in northern NY, about a 5.5-6hour drive north of NYC. The closest metro area was montreal, quebec, not nyc. Still own family property near there. The area there is as conservative as anywhere Ive ever been in texas, wy, idaho, ak, etc. Heck, texas is going to be a blue state before you know it if things keep going the way they are. People who are clueless love to hate on NY,ers and seem to group all of ny and all new yorkers into the same bucket. They are simply ignorant of the fact that most of northern NY is as red as anywhere. Obviously it doesnt help having a massively large megacity a couple hundred miles away dictating much of the politics.
Regardless, navigating the shitshow of laws is a nightmare and I totally understand a business choosing to not do business there.

That said, I also understand the OP’s frustration. At the end of the day a gun business choosing to not do business in NY or CA literally rewards the anti-gun politicians, while punishing the people fighting against them. That smarts, and I have a hard time understanding how people dont see it that way. Personally, if there was a way I could manage my liability reasonably, I would be going out of my way to help beleaguered gun owners in NY and CA. They have enough of a headwind without having the whole 2a community working against them too. We often hear that “we have to stick together” on 2a and hunting issues, and businesses voluntarily punishing like-minded customers because they happen to live in a state whose politics is dominated by a giant metro area, is certainly an example of NOT sticking together.
