NY hunters are people too.

Bro the only 2 things bad about Texas are the fire ants & those gay ass yell leaders at Kyle Field
I’m lmao because this is the last place I expected to read a poke at them boys. 😂😂
I’m not a fan of that cult place but somehow ended up marrying a gal that graduated from there lol

I just like that the op was offended enough to come and post on a forum how his feelings were hurt. This forum isn’t a safe space for people with feelings 😂

There are many reasons a dealer may not wish to sell to a certain customer. His right!

Downgrading his reputation and calling him names is wrong. You are being childish and mature.

New York is a beautiful state and clearly rich in resources and game. But the politics of the state skewed. How can someone feel comfortable dealing where they are uncertain about facing possible legal action.

The 25-06 is not very rare. Probley hundreds online or even at the local Sunstore. Check them out you may be surprised. Better then venting on a public forum.

One last word. Next time you have an Issue with a seller: give him a call!

Hey, thanks guys, you are all correct. Except the guy who said I’m a PITA. Actually am a highly rated buyer and never give anyone any crap. This time excluded and I didn’t single the seller out.
I def could have and should have handled that better and not slighted a whole state.
We are stubborn and don’t move away. We have family, land, history, jobs and thick skin.
My point was by “NO EXCEPTIONS TO NY” the dealer is playing into their hand. They love that.
We up here helped deliver the House to the country in 2022. Can you imagine the alternative?
I am still asking for guys not to help the bully. We’re trying to get them out while going about our lives.

Hell I’ll do you one better. I wish gun companies would not sell to State or local entities in states like New York, California, and Illinois.
I don’t blame a guy for not wanting to ship anything to New York I wouldn’t either.

There are some exception for shipping to ca. I'm not sure what they are, but they are real. Hell, we can't even get gas powered lawn equipment here any more. Among other things. Everything has to be emissions rated for Ca. or they won't ship here.

I lived my first 34 years in NY. Once you are an hour outside of NYC, it is a beautiful game rich environment with conservative political views. Unfortunately, all of those people are misrepresented due to the 15 million people in NYC, Westchester, and Rockland County.

For that reason, I packed up my family and moved 2300 miles west 4 years ago and couldn't be happier.

I dealt with shipping a gun to an FFL in CA once. Never again. I also just exclude CA, IL and NY. It's not worth it at all.

Sometimes it’s just easier to avoid the situation altogether. I don’t blame the seller. Move on and find a different rifle.

I was selling a rifle in the classifieds. A guy from CA reached out, we chatted for a while. After looking into it, I didn’t want the hassle. He was totally fine with it and I sold it face to face the next week.

OK, we need to have a reset here. Please be courteous and factual. There’s no secret of the firearms restrictions in New York and California. My guess is most of the hunters that live in these states don’t like these restrictions anymore than guys that don’t live there.

Debate away, but don’t continue the condescending, name-calling garbage. It’s understandable why folks don’t want to do business with folks in certain states especially when it comes to firearms. That doesn’t mean the people that live there are part of the political system that you despise.

If you guys want to continue this thread, let’s use civility and common sense. Please don’t get banned for doing something stupid.

Guy has a point about not dealing with folks in NY is exactly what the powers that be in NY want….

Okay, now back to his hammering his ass for whining instead of being an adult and generating a well crafted meme to capture the essence of the situation.
