Gents - Wow.

I am thoroughly impressed with Aron's/Kifaru's ability to improve on already great products.

The most impressive thing about it all...Aron/Kifaru are turning ideas into functional products much quicker than other outdoor companies.

I assume it's because Aron is the designer, tester and marketer. No other outdoor company is doing this.

What is gonna be neat to see is what the Kifaru hunting line will look like in 2-3 yrs.

GREAT job Aron...you are a gamechanger my friend. Kifaru is lucky to have you.

Hey Guys,

I appreciate the kind words from everyone, but Patrick is the man with the plan! He's been light years ahead of the game for a long time and I'm just happy to be able to learn from the master.

I just wanted to make sure and give credit where credit is due, and Patrick deserves the credit!

Hope everyone like the new products!

Yep...very humble of you to say Patrick is the reason but their line has evolved more in a year than the past 4 altogether and IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU ARON.

The difference is YOU actually use and test the products YOU design. Most companies have a bunch of guys doing all three...this is where many functionalities can be lost.

You my friend, test gear like no other, design like no other and Kifaru builds like no other.

Yep, we do have something in the works for that. I don't have photos or video ready, but I will post it up on Wednesday.
Aaron,

Since the new meat shelf and meat baggie require common loops on the frame (that the bikini only seems to have, not the older duplex's), do you have any recommendation to get the meat shelf to work on older duplex frames? The only common loops are the ones on the very bottom for the cargo chair/cargo panel.

I was leaning heavily towards kifaru pack and then I went to Colorado. I met Aron, Kevin, and Patrick. After meeting them, I am glad that I couldn't immediately purchase the stuff I wanted because I wanted everything. The teamwork, the quality of people, and the "realness" of the people was amazing. I hope you understand what I mean by that.

What impressed me above all else (and you guys have touched on it) everyone there uses the gear. They know what works, what doesn't and they take pride.

Ya Aaron you are doing a great job at making a product that everyone needs and being so helpful in the process. I don't know where you get all the energy and drive but hopefully we will all get to enjoy what you bring to the hunting community for many years to come. Thank you on a great year and have a happy and safe new one!

Well, it seems to me that the real magic and innovation in these packs come from the teamwork between Aaron and Patrick, not one or the other... just my 2 Cents

Everyone at Kifaru is great and it's a true pleasure to work with all of them!

Again, I'm just happy that I have the opportunity to work with such great people and learn from the best backpack designer in the history of the industry.

I think people forget how many patents that Patrick has held or holds in the outdoor industry. If you add the fact that he pioneered the heated shelter/lightweight backpacking stoves, well, he's been setting the standard for others to follow for longer than I have been alive.

He's earned my respect and I hope that I can become half the designer and innovator that he is someday.

Yes! Patrick Smith is the man. The products he thinks up are amazing. Not only the packs but the sleep systems, shelters, etc. He is a genius and a great all around guy!

And Aron (the manimal) is also a great guy! A strait shooter and a backcountry mad man!
You combine those two and your in for some serious wallet damage! Lol

These new packs are legit! But tough choice because all Kifaru packs are great. Just different tools for the tool belt. I think the KU packs are a secret master peice that Patrick came up. Pure amazingness. The new packs are kinda a KU pack with cordura.

To modify a DT2 with K connectors for attachment to the bikini frame and also for the DT2 bag itself, how many K connectors are needed?

4 will cover the horizontal compression straps.

8 will take care of every compression strap on the DT/Timberline packs.
