Hope you didn't take that the wrong way....

I was just throwing it up so people would know. It has been crazy this morning, but I should have taken the time to respond a little better.

Sorry about that!
Thanks Aron. So with a camo Bikini I would be saving 1lb 5.5oz difference. If I was buying new for the first time I would go Bikini. Def not gonna drop $400 to change a frame for that difference. Holding side by side I'm sure I could tell a difference. Loaded on my back there is no way I could tell. I Need a lot of new things so I will make the weight up some where's else.

No worries, I always make time to shoot the chit about hunting!

Great to meet you and I'm glad you liked the new system.

Question on the weight of the Highcamp bags themselves as I am thinking of ordering one of those in foliage to go on my Duplex frame. Is the weight listed on the site for the bags ( which is 2 lbs. 3oz. for 7000 ci and 2 lbs for the 4800) just only the bag with out the lid? So that if you add a regular lid it adds another about 4 oz.

Asking because I like the new bags and wonder if there is a weight savings there also over my LH bag that I have.

BTW- as far as frame weight my 24" Duplex MMR ( with the military belt in (S) ) weighs right at 3 lbs. 12 oz. with 24 inch composite stays. Of course the 24" bikini frame I am sure weighs probably about 1-2 oz less for 24" frame.

The Duplex frame is 3lb 14oz's with composite stays.

oops sorry, i was just going off of the "9 oz lighter" thing. So many decisions. I want to get the bikini, just cant afford it right now, and I dont want to sell my frame yet either. The funny thing is that I doubt I will even ever use my DT frame in the next 4 months anyway. I just feel like not having one would be wierd. the worst is that my wife has one i could use hahaha.

I better just do it before the wait becomes 6 months hahah

The weight includes the lid.

It kills me how many people are concerned with the colors of the frame that will sit between a pack bag and your back and never be seen 99% of the time.

The other thing to consider is if the duplex is in good shape there is very little depreacation. You could easiy get $300 for a used DF and get into the BIKINI for $400 so really its only $100.....

I had the black ordered but changed to foliage. The black wasn't stopping me but for 3.5oz I don't have the big black shoulder staps making me stick out. Nice to have the choice.

Forsure. I am more referring to the people that like everything but were on the fence before the chance at a camo frame.

Maybe I'm being picky... I am on the fence... DT series bag or Highcamp bag.... the only thing holding me back from the highcamp is I really really like the side slash pockets on the dt's. What are the chances of a custom bag??? a combo of the 2......

Kifaru DOES NOT do Custom work. You will have to choose one of the packs they offer. I own a DT3 and absolutely love the pack. Would choose it every time over the HC bag but everyone has different tastes. Making your choice is the hardest part of buying a Kifaru.
