Just got a phone call from Aron about my order. Looks like they are going to offer the bikini frame in all colors (with the slight weight increase). Changed my order up to Multicam. Thought some of you following this thread would like to know that! Sorry to steal your thunder as well Aron!

From their website it looks like they are offered in coyote, foliage, multicam and highlander now in both the frame and bag!

Im looking forward to hearing the weight increase of going with one of the colors. Im still undecided on color, but I know ill be ordering the new frame and pack on Friday or Saturday.

So basically....
DT frame, ALU stays...... 4 lb 5 oz
DT frame, Comp stays.... 3 lb 14 oz
BD frame, Camo/color.... 2 lb 8.5 oz
BD frame, Black............. 2 lb 5 oz

so I am looking at a 1 lb 5.5 oz benefit from upgrading to multicam BD or 1 lb 9 oz benefit by upgrading to black BD..... Decisions decisions.

Anyone know the going rate of the Duplex timberline used? HAHA, do they take the money out of your account now or when your order is filled?

Hard decision to make. I thought it was a no brainer at first but $400 to save about 1.5lb?????? A million things I could do to save that weight for a few bucks??

This is awesome news!
Kifaru is awesome!
Now it's just a matter of putting all the right pockets and lid together with a camo bikini frame and decide what bag I want... I really like the modular HC with a better bottom opening, but I also like the long vertical open pockets on Timberline and the divider inside the bag.

Have it been said how far it is between the bag and frame when using the new little meat shelf?

Is it as easy to use DT1 bag as a daypack as a DT2 or is DT1 much "bulkier" when compressed?

The Duplex frame is 3lb 14oz's with composite stays.

Thanks Aron. So with a camo Bikini I would be saving 1lb 5.5oz difference. If I was buying new for the first time I would go Bikini. Def not gonna drop $400 to change a frame for that difference. Holding side by side I'm sure I could tell a difference. Loaded on my back there is no way I could tell. I Need a lot of new things so I will make the weight up some where's else.
