We get it. You're a MKC fanboi
I have lots of high carbon blades that I don't baby and they don't rust. They have a discoloration but not rust.
MKC could probably spend $100k less per year on marketing and be able to drop their blade price by 25% and still have the same profit margins. Most everyone's complaint about MKC is the price point in comparison to other custom blade makers. I've bought 3 custom blades over the last year. I chose the metal finish, metal type, and handle material. All 3 fall within the same price point as MKC blades. Despite how MKC wants to spin it, they're making production knives with Josh making an occasional 1 off custom
I'm not hating on MKC. They're asking a premium for their product and there are people dropping THOUSANDS of dollars per year to have every model and variant of that model. The knife market is bearing the price so MKC isn't going to drop their price at this point. Fanboi customers are creating an artificial market. I've bought one, used it, sharpened it, and gave it as a gift. If I get another MKC at this point, it will likely be a speed goat and it will be when that artificial market collapses
