I don't.

But I do listen to a lot of podcasts.

Not seeing Steve isn't a hindrance.

Its also often the case that what MAGAcentrics view as "liberal" is often nothing more than the centrists position.

If you have moved so far right that you can't see the center, then literally everything else is left of you. And here we are in 2025.

I'm not a meat-eater fan at all but I did listen to his podcast on the Shawn Ryan Show... SRS has a massive and diverse audience and Steve absolutely failed at supporting hunting and showing the management side of it. Im not talking promoting hunting but more of why the North American conservation method works the best. Didn't talk about the conservation money it brings, how it helps the population and ecosystem anything. If a listener didn't know better you would think he was just a rich dude that hunts.

I don’t get the Sean Ryan thing either. Tried to listen a few times but just can’t do it. I don’t see how he is so well regarded as a host.

I miss folks like William F Buckley Jr who could verbally slit your throat while smiling and then sit back and accept your apology for making such a baseless claim as you slump over dead in your chair. Those guys knew how to get at an issue.

Well.. I listened to that one and I can't remember Shawn asking him about any of that.

He has interesting people on and he lets em talk, that's about the gist of it for me but i've only listened to a few episodes myself when I saw someone on that I wanted to hear. Maybe it was actually Julian Dorey's pod that had Shawn on that I felt was a good one.

Thats kinda his whole gig. For the most part they are just interviews and he lets the people talk/ tell their story. He gets people on there that talks about stuff he has no expertise is. Listen to some of the "war stories" from vets he has on there, or there is one with this computer hacker that hunts PEDOS (i can't remember his name) but it is the most disgustingly informative thing I have ever heard. But ya he is not confrontational to his guests at all, thats why so many guys and gals come on there and say stuff they other wise would never tell. And for me, it gives me information and I can take that information and form my own opinions on it. It lets you use discernment with information you would not normally get through regular media. Also some of the stories are flat out amazing.. DJ shiply, Tom Satterly, the hacker guy, one dude talks about ancient technology thats cool af...

I wouldn't call myself a Meateater fan. But I do enjoy a good bit of what they do, and even really like some.

Steve either comes across as very thoughtful and articulate... Or a babbling moron.

Yeah as others said he's more of a "story facilitator" than an interviewer. Former special forces guys are his bread and butter. Some to take a look at:

Jay Cal, DJ Shipley, Erik Prince, Tu Lam, Bob Poras, Cody Alford, Tyler Vargas-Andrews, Mark Geist, Tom Satterly, Sarah Adams, Christian Craghead, Dom Raso, Chad Robichaux, Tom Spooner, Brad Geary, John McPhee, Chris Fettes, John Stryker Meyer, Larry Vickers, Henry Dick Thompson, Keith Stansell, Pete Scobell, Matt Bissonnette,

These are all SEAL, Delta, DEVGRU, CIA, MACV-SOG, SAS, etc. type guys (and a CIA targeter gal). Most of them he does a full life story on. Some are better than others. Vietnam, Benghazi, all sorts of GWOT time frames from initial invasion, Sadam's capture, Bin Laden raid, to the disastrous extraction.

If I had to pick three to convince you the rest are worth a listen, they would be Jay Cal (SAS Operator, GWOT), Henry Dick Thompson (MACV-SOG, Vietnam), and DJ Shipley (SEAL/DEVGRU, GWOT).
