Nope.

There's a pretty anti authority podcast I listen to that had some Oregon Highway Patrol ads...

In theory they're selected by an algorithm based on what you listen to.

I am not an expert, but I believe that podcast ads are different between listeners. Often times, podcasts sell time to an ad agency, and the agency fills the time based on the algorithm of an individual listener.

I am a Meat Eater hater, but it may not be actually endorsed by them.

No matter what the algorithm says some advertisers pay to play their ads no matter what. Sometimes they choose specific broadcasts, sometimes the highest rated broadcasts no matter what the content is. Many times its just random.

But historians, biologists, researchers etc are frequently interesting.

I wouldn't say I look up to them but I've been listening to the podcast since 2014. They are historians, conservationists and have on amazing guests who have taught me a ton about wildlife, conservation, and American History. What's so weird about them? Some of the questionable liberal characters mentioned here are not on the show as regulars.

When I hear people hating on MeatEater Poscast on Rokslide it is abundantly clear that they don't listen to the podcast because their take on the show is usually way off.

I’m a fan of Steve, but his podcast is cheeks. I’ve tried to listen to a few and I can’t do it.

Tried watching the podcast on the outdoor channel, for me it's hard to watch but that's just my opinion. I don't mind reading the books he wrote. I could be wrong, but years back Steve said you only need a good rifle and shotgun. No need for AR's or pistols something to that effect. There was a pretty good spat over it.

When and where did Steve say that? Because he trains and advocates for training with an AR.

Ever watch late night shows with hosts and guest? Imagine if you only listened to a recording of it. You would not see the physical interactions.
