Just a quick review, the ocular lens cover is easier to open and feels like it has less play than the objective cover. The objective has some wiggle in the hinge side to side, and is required a little more force to flip open. I think that flip open stiffness will likely go away with use.

As far as impact resistance, the material they are made from is tough and would likely save the glass from a fall or drop damage.

I will likely remove the illum knob and just run the parallax knob. I will also trim and file down the throw lever to have a smaller footprint.

I’m in the camp that doesn’t like my Aadmount caps. Too bulky, too loud, ocular button too big and high cost. I want to like them because they are robust but I don’t. Back to Butler Creek or simple cheap neoprene covers for me.
