Looking for any recs on bugle tube holders please. Aiming to find one that will fit a Phelps metal tube, and will attach to hip belt on Stone Glacier and Exo Mtn packs.

Never used a holder before - open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

I use the phelps metal bugle tube holder: https://lancasterarchery.com/produc...ariant=42530864332986&country=US&currency=USD

I don't run it off the belt, but you could if you really want to. I run it off the top side straps, so I can reach for it behind my shoulder. Off the hip belt, the bottom plastic piece would dangle and snag on things, could get crushed if you fall, and you gotta remove it if you wanna sit.

Did you ever try wedging it in your belt and tucking it behind your pack straps? Hard to explain but on my EXO it rides nice without any holder.

Is it something you need to be able to grab and use in a hurry? Not really. Mine stays in my spotting scope storage pocket on the right side of my day pack. I can reach over my shoulder and pull it out. No problem if I need to. But more often than not, you’re sitting down when you need to get out the bugle tube.

I didn’t even know such a thing was made. 🤣 I just tie a piece of paracord on to both ends to make a sling. It’s large enough to go over my shoulder and swings around and sits right on top of my pack or just a little on the side of pack. When I need it I just slide it around and slide it back when I’m done.

Pretty sure the Phelps holder is the bendable gen 1 Ive used it over my shoulder just like the picture shown it works great

A guy in town makes these, I carry mine on a lanyard so not sure if this would work for you?

Yeah this is about what I do, works well enough I just don't see the need for another piece of gear. Hard to explain but makes sense once you see it.
