I apologize if my comments are taken out of context. It is very easy to do so in the electronic age. Education and awareness that allow people to make their own educated and informed decisions is very important. Personal choice over legislative demands is preferred.

I like hammer bullets. I have talked to Steve 4 times about advice on how to loads hammers, each time the conversation was very helpful and the folks at hammer are 100% pro hunting. If something comes their way to send more business their way good for them.

I hesitated on saying anything here because it seems so useless based on the bias opinions but I have done dumber stuff. I have loaded hammers for ~10 guns and have been pleased with them for the purpose they were loaded for. The times I have talked to Steve he has been professional and helpful I wouldn’t classify him as arrogant at all. I am a member on LRH and there are many over there that love/hate Hammers, Bergers, Hornady, etc. We will all be biased to what we like and are confident in. If you talk with Steve and his opinion of a long range hunting bullet he will tell you he likes to keep it inside 600. Their bullets have needs just like other big names, they are designed to be spun faster and ran harder, anyone that complains about that is clearly wanting to be argumentative because the opposite nearly applies to Bergers which have RPM and velocity limits to maintain good performance. The game we have killed with hammers was what we wanted from them. I would not expect the 131HH to compete with the 156EOL out of 6.5SAUM at 1200yds, anyone that would is simply uneducated on the difference. The same applies for 100yd impacts at 3000fps. I love the Bergers, Hornady and Seirras for other uses such as LR and competitions but every bullet has limitations. All that being said I do think Steve threw a little sales pitch in their but I don’t see the harm in it and certainly don’t take his participation as anti.

🙄. Outside of defending Steve and Hammer bullets you provide very little value to anybody on any thread or forum. You are the king of passive aggressive posts…at this point I am convinced Steve compensates you and a bunch of others to troll forums.
That's funny right there, I don't care who you are :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

The data at this point is fairly conclusive that lead is contributing to raptor morbidity and mortality. Viscera from hunter killed game is a vital part of raptor diet in the fall and the portion of the carcass that usually contains lead. Anti-hunters are aware of this fact. Let's be proactive as a hunting community and beat them to the chase by adopting new technology to demonstrate our concern for non-game species.

I don't understand the mentality of wanting to "die on the hill." Hunters are the minority and change is coming, whether or not we are reactive or proactive is to to us.

Feel free to keyboard bash me.

Yes. However.... The anti-lead projectile states need to do a little more work in research on lead projectiles.

California banning all lead projectiles, even patched round ball and soft lead projectiles from low velocity cartridges where the projectile doesn't fragment and is easily recoverable, is completely moronic.

You have a point. Until this thread , he’s went 2 years without commenting in this forum.

Saying the same thing over and over does tend to paint someone as a "fan boy" or "hater" and credibility for those posts is very low among other members.

You guys can keep going round and round but no value to your argument is being added.

I'm with you and think banning lead bullets is just plain stupidity in the first place

Say's the man that has 3 posts but you are correct I don't post here much I just stay in the shadows

You followed this video post from different forums in the last couple days. Your first post in this thread was the exact reply you had in the other.

No Sir it is not the exact same post, do your homework, and I started the post on the other forum, I saw it again here and wanted to make sure that everyone here knew that my intent and Hammer's was not about banning lead bullets but the for the safety of our wildlife, In all honesty I can see how it looks conflicting

Seems like you are on this like white on rice too. With half of your initial posts going at Bean. Hmmm I smell a shill account.

. I’m just a new member to a few forums within the last few months. Just noticing a pattern with the posting of this video and him defending it. Kinda strange that someone is absent to a forum for 2 years then all of a sudden jumps in this conversation ? Not to mention his first comment is almost identical to his others on another forum. Seems rehearsed and organized to me. That’s from a outsider looking in.

I have Hammers. I'm still on the fence b/c I don't have enough experience with them. I have only harvested one animal thus far. I will say they are very accurate. I have spoke with Steve on the phone and via email. No issues with him at all. I don't know too many companies where you can speak directly with the developer AND he responds fairly quickly. I have been on the Hammer Forum a few times and the members are very helpful.

I think some of the issue with Hammers is d/t their hardcore supporters. Their responses go sideways in about 1 second. They come across as aggressive/defensive, not educational, which is not doing much in the way of winning people over. Probably the opposite. I don't believe their responses align with my experience with the owner (Steve). Too bad b/c it does cast a shadow over what seems to be a good company.

However, I do agree with Barnes statement on lead which another member posted.

I was talking about actual testing showing results with numbers showing variances from published BCs. Outside of this you are providing a response with biased foundation.
They have trued .02-.04 below advertised in all 6 rifles we have loaded them in. They are a quality mono bullet but the BCs (and twist rate requirements for some versions) are overly optimistic.

I don’t know anything about you besides reading your comments defending this video on multiple forums. And I honestly don’t care one way or the other. Just found it odd how all of a sudden after 2 years of silence you decide to start commenting again ? Like I said from a new member’s perspective, the optics of you chasing this video around multiple platforms looks suspicious to me. And I would say not commenting on anything in 2 years is absent. Just my thoughts.
