Informal Cold Bore Challenge

I’ll refrain from turning this post into a love letter to this new 6mm ARC. Took my cold bore shot with it this afternoon at a target that I’ve struggled on when shooting my 223. It’s a 4° uphill angle which doesn’t seem bad until I try to settle in on it. It’s a 10” target at 730 yards. Today’s wind was 1mph. Temp was 19° and I center punched it. The Horndy 103 ‘ELD-X ammo has been very consistent from this box. I still have a lot to practice but I think this rifle is going to be the one I tell the grandkids about.

Just found this thread today, otherwise I would have been all in. Just starting reloading so I've been shooting a bit the last couple weeks.

Gonna out out tomorrow so I'll be sure and film it so I can participate! @YaakRiver standby for a pm, i think we might be in the same neighborhood.

absolutely! This isn't about a specific cartridge, bullet, rifle etc. . . It's just about being motivated to get out and get better.

That's a rad muzzleloader! With the exception of being able to use percussion caps, we're restricted to primitive muzzleloaders for hunting here in Montana. I will spare the Rockslide crowd the pain of watching me shoot minute-of-watermelon groups at 100 yards with it.
