Colorado legislators to propose NFA- Suppressor Ban

I see my CO state rep pretty often (hard to miss with his campaign posts all over a red f150 lightning) when I take my son to the library. He switched from R to D to "protect trans rights and abortion rights" from what he told me personally on a call a few years back.

Might ask him how that's working out for the state next time I see him. Thanks Bob!
That one’s hard to believe, but he is a politician. Most likely he is beholden to the campaign money from millionaire/billionaire Dem donors Jared Polis and the other “Four Horsemen”. Also likes getting that Bloomberg-Everytown anti-gun money.

Illinois. They compliled a list of guns they considered "bad" and anyone that owned one or a variant of it had to register with the state police. As well as "high capacity" magazines. I believe they restricted traveling with anything on their list unless basically taking it to the gunsmith.
We are also one of the few states that does NOT allow suppressor ownership.
Man, I don't know how something like this doesn't get shot down through the courts.

WA is in a downward spiral. Can't even buy parts for my AR's anymore, legally. But what our retard politicians don't realize is there are ways around all this nonsense.
Nothing illegal about buying parts unless they are being used to modify a weapon that wasn’t previously an “assault weapon” into one. Some vendors are just being risk averse.

There was postponement of everything for a while. There has been lawsuits on both sides and a push to go straight to the supreme court was denied. Last I heard lawyers were still doing lawyer things. But the ban of sales and registry happened. Illinois is a big red state with a great big blue city in it. Unfortunately they think these laws make there streets safer. We had some of the strictest gun laws before, now more. That big city is no safer than it was. The antis rallied around an event where a f***cked up individual used an ar 15 to try and make everyone as miserable as him. Hopefully it never happens in your state. Its amazing how antis can use that to punish law abiding citizens.

@bayoublaster7527 could you explain what exactly you heard? What kind of source was this?
Absolutely. Currently being reported by Big Timber Lodge, RMGO, and CSSA. All these groups are Colorado-based and closely follow anti-gun efforts in the legislature. They fought hard against SB-003 last session. Also an anonymous individual on AR15.COM confirmed it from an associate who is heavily involved in local politics. CO Dems will keep it close hold until they schedule a committee hearing for the actual bill so they leave the gun owners community as little time as possible to organize and respond.

Currently they are hearing a ban on NFA items which would include suppressors. Also an “Armory Bill” which would limit the number of firearms an individual a legally purchase or own. Additional rumors they want to expand SB-003 to a full blown AR15 ban, it is currently a permit-to purchase scheme.

Thanks for posting @bayoublaster7527. Please keep us updated. I’ll call my state reps when it comes out.

I would think at least getting suppressors removed at a minimum should be accomplishable but the attacks on gun rights and hunting privileges seem never ending these days in CO.

R….D…..it dosent matter. These people aren’t here to help you. Trump has clearly stated that he dosent like silencers and he banned bump stocks, yet everybody was scared that Hillary was going to come after guns.

Both sides of politics are true evil.

Why is it hard to believe??? Politicians want to keep their high paying jobs and all the kickbacks. If you were an R politician in a liberal state and you realized the state was sliding farther left, you’d be smart to make a big scene and switch parties before you got run out.

For the common man, it dosent matter what we do, we are just their subjects but to a point, hell is code D for 500 bucks because at this point it makes absolutely no difference. I thought the Rs were here to save us, now I’ve lost additional income and things cost twice as much, hopefully things become great but right now, my life is about 50k worse than it was a few years ago.
I think you hit the nail on the head. He switched parties to maintain power. It had nothing to do with “rights” or abortion. That’s what I was referring to as hard to believe, his statement. He was lying, which likely comes natural. I think I know which rep he is referring to and he is no different than the rest of the Co Dems. He falls in line to vote for restrictions on firearms ownership, freedom of speech, and private property rights.
