No sir is the best answer. Dont need someone at my door asking about em.

This answer is posted a half-dozen times in this thread. Do you really think they don't already have the data at hand to figure this out?

Have you ever bought .223 rounds with a credit card? How about a sight or a trigger or a grip online? Or even googled AR parts?

There is already a database query written that could generate a list of 95% of the people who own ARs in a couple of seconds. The government just hasn't decided to do anything with it yet. I think people already forgot what Ed Snowden revealed about our government.

Forgot to mention. I killed my first deer with an Ar15. Hunted with it for 2 years. Why? It was the only rifle I had.

For everyone who thinks, "they will come to for you.". Who is this mythical, evil phantom like "they?" I work for the gubbament and if I'm knocking on your door it ain't to take your $#@t. That's not a fight I'm looking for. No thanks.

And yes it's true, if "they" want to know what you got, "they" already know.

Ask the guys in New York getting safe acted who "they" are. Make no mistake about it, far far far more cops will kick in your door and shoot your dog when the confiscation order comes than those that will refuse. That pension is a powerful thing.

So you think the very idea that manifested the country you live in today (assuming US) is comical? They'll be after your shit too in no time, fudd. Now go out there and enjoy your rights that men have died for that you're willing to give up on.

Calm down there pal. I never said I was against others owning them, did I? If there's ever a revolution in this country, I just picture it going down much differently. I know (and respect) a ton of people in the military and not a single one would ever fire on their fellow citizens. If (and I pray it never does) come down to it, the people of this country will have the vast majority of the military, and their resources, at our disposal. If we don't, it doesn't matter if every citizen owns 100 ARs, it won't matter when an Apache is hovering outside your door. Just because I choose not to own an automatic rifle doesn't mean I don't respect this country or our constitution. Nice job jumping to conclusions, though.

Do you think that this will kickoff with apaches? Or is it more likely to start with local swat stacked on some guys front door? I think you know the answer. Tyranny starts at the local enforcement level.

What are they going to be kicking down my door for? I know plenty of law enforcement and they are bigger 2nd amendment supporters than almost anyone. The big difference in this country is that our military and law enforcement volunteer to serve us. They are loyal to the people, not the government.

Everyone has these visions of a violent revolution in this country to overthrow the corrupt government. It's almost like they are looking forward to it. That's not how it's going to happen. I predict a great future for my kids in this country if everyone just learns to get along and respect each other's opinions.

i am not inclined to say hoe many semi auto rifles i have but i have a few. i hunt with them, and have them around the house for protection of my family. i also have them for protection from the government.

PS: i have a lot of friends who are gun owners and i speak for them all when i say there's no price tag on safety and protection so we buy it despite being a little pricey.

Does that include respecting the inalienable right to keep and bear arms? Because it seems that not too many give a damn about respecting that one anymore.

This country was founded on the bedrock that the right to protect oneself and family from an overreaching govt was something that can't just be legislated away. Many people today believe that to their core...confiscation is their line in the sand. No one with half a brain wants a violent revolution, but many would rather sort things out now than kick the can down the road for their children.

If it's not your door getting kicked in, then it's ok? May your chains rest lightly, I suppose.

Banning law abiding people from owning any type of firearm is like:

Want to stop drunk drivers from killing sober drivers?

Then ban sober drivers from driving.

You will be deeply disaapointed if you are waiting for Law enforcement agents/agencies to do the right thing. They will be loyal to the commanding officers, get their pay check and take care of their families. they won't sacrifice all that so you can keep your guns. just wanted you to know that right.

Well, it would be banning cars. After all, it's not the people making the decisions. It's the evil inanimate objects that are the problem.

Nope don’t own one but have plenty of parts for some reason, seems I’ve accumulated over the years enough to have a few, weird.
