Off the top of my head, from what i seen earlier.
Abstinence funding, a Moratorium on small business loans for nonprofits. A provision that allows the Treasury secretary to award funds I anonymously to corporations without public disclosures for six months.
Also provisons that allow a waiver for caps on executive compensation with public funds.

There was a few more that escape me without looking at details online..

In any event like the stuff that was listed correctly by another poster there was more then enough crap to go around from both parties.

Times like this, this is f'ing disgusting.

I have a hard time understanding why people are seemingly incapable of recognizing their
Own blind partisanship while criticizing partisanship. Is it a lack of the ability to self reflect? Emotional allegiance that connects their personal identity to a party? I don’t get it.

Crap from both sides here is pretty gross. Though I do not understand the anger over the delayed disclosure period. The focus of these efforts should be stability. Just like borrowing from the discount window in overnight lending markets, Intentionally or not it is often perceived as a sign of weakness and can alter a company’s position with other lenders and shareholders. A six month delay is disclosure allows the firm the utilize the funds and hopefully stabilize the books. Once the disclosure window closes you have actual data and not speculation to review based on those six months of business vs just making a lending or buy/sell position on a company based on securing federal funding.

Now the executive compensation provision is junk and so is the idea of forgiving student loans. So many other ways to incentivize both of those groups without just a handout.

Agree. One more reason to be happy my wife I are over the threshold.

Futher more i hope they add similar stipulations to companies getting bailouts. However we know the answer to that. We will bailing out airlines that took no Initiative to build cash reserves and instead bought back their stocks.

Yep and am buying Alaska and south west stock probably in the next few weeks.

If that’s true, then that’s effed up. Man, I hope the general public realizes the games being played and votes accordingly. What a joke adding those provisions.

I wonder why they don’t just cancel the waiting week for Unemployment and bump it up a certain percent that would cover most people other than small business owners which I’m sure would be a fairly easy solution and the two he money is going in the right direction

National Review , Fox and anyone see a trend here. No different than if some one was cheery picking CNN and the huffington post looking for validation for their preconceptions.

How about we look at some reporting that has less of a slant and if someone was to actually read the complete report they would see that as usual both crappy parties are at fault playing the same crappy game they always do, with everything.

For example ....

I agree with you on a lot of thing, but that chart shows BBC, NPR as non biased? I listen to NPR a lot, it’s hyper left in a civil discussion. Washington Post in the middle? Time? Have to disagree on those. I do read them, but I read every angle.

I think you should digest all of them and form your opinion. If you lean left, read the right. If you lean right read CNN gasp.

Fox News has some good articles, CNN has some good info. If you take stories from all different perspectives you can then form your own educated opinion not just regurgitating the facts you were fed. There are a LOT of little tidbits left out by authors on each side because it validates their beliefs and they want to influence us.

I mean we have very few true 1980’s style straight news where you don’t know who they voted for honestly.

I totally agree we should all read and disseminate information from multiple sources, and furthermore no one will agree 100%, and rightly so, in regards to slant and bias. However the issue is if you want to make hyper-partisan arguments out every discussion there are more then enough barn slop written by the likes of CNN and Fox to fuel diatribes like ad nauseam. Its no longer a discussion its rhetoric cheery picked to bolster pre conceptions.

I agree almost 100% with what you wrote. Your first few sentences especially.

The way I weed out a lot of articles is when there is clear opinion being put in that are not followed by facts.

Like with this Covid-19 stuff. Give me straight numbers, then what has been done, what is being proposed, and sprinkle in some anecdotal evidence of how things done or proposed could help or hinder the straight numbers based on information from true experts on the subject. As you state not a lot of straight news anymore, mostly click bait and appease your main fan base opinion from a writer not a subject expert on anything.

That’s the problem, almost every news source is now hyper partisan. It breeds more hyper partisanship amongst us, leading everyone to think there’s only 2 spots on the map to be. I lean right, believe in preserving the environment at the cost of resources sometimes, sometimes getting resources at the cost of the environment.

I mean we need our own rare earth sources, we also need wilderness and non motorized areas. We need logging and no logging areas, we need gas and oil until we don’t, we need gold strip mines or technology is shut down.

There’s just so much we can all agree upon without strapping ourselves to trees or political personalities, but right now if you don’t agree 100% of the time you are the enemy. Never mind that we can probably agree on plenty of things and get them done.

I do think the rider pet projects on this bill are a joke, and every single news source should be on top of it, telling Pelosi to back off, now isn’t the time for a game of chicken over these add-ons.

I loook at as they are just giving me back some of the $20,000 they took from me in 2019. Feels good for once to actually see the money you put in come back around to me

Here is a prime example as to why people watch right leaning media. This is 3 different main news sources. 2 mention the right only helping big businesses with no mention of the junk added. 1 right leaning only mentions the junk added and not the Dem opinions that it’s too much for businesses.

I don’t think we need to berate people for checking there also, because if you don’t do you know about the $10,000 college loan forgiveness added on? Mandatory same day voter registration in all 50 states? Eliminate postal service debt? Or forcing federal agencies to explain to congress how they are using their “minority banks”? Requiring airlines to reduce carbon by 50%?

You show me a left leaning source that lists those things that Pelosi tossed in and is holding it up for. That’s why people end up at other sources. If CNN would list all the things that were in it instead of twisting it to sound like the other side is only fighting save money for big businesses, there would be little to no other news needed.

Just the facts please, no twist! That’s for both sides! I have always wished the newspapers would have an editorial page, Left page, Right page, right in the middle. Choose the important stuff for the day, have people from both sides explain their position. Papers would be worth reading again. You can’t increase your numbers when you alienate 40-45% of the population by covering only one side.

Dont spend any governent money just yet, you might not be getting any. Total phase out for adjusted gross income over 99k and double that for married couple. Claiming 90% of households will qualify
