Down from 208 to 205. Was down another pound or two until I spent all weekend smoking 70ish pounds of summer sausage and snack sticks... My diet/portion control goes out the window around smoked meats. On the bright side those three pounds were basically diet alone. Didn't get hardly any workout in this week. Hoping to get below that 200 threshold soon, makes cardio easier on the joints.

Last Monday - 200.8
Today - 200.2

Ran every day but switched from day shift to night shift and back to day shift in 5 total days. Totally F'd up my body's schedule and appetite, and will power wasn't quite strong enough. That elusive sub-200 eludes me again.......

213 this morning.

I've had some questions about keto recipes. I'll try to get a post going on the topic when I have some time.

Keep on keepin on folks.

I'm scared to weigh, it was a rough weekend lol

Well I did weight last night, down 1/2 a lb week over week. Not the progress I've been looking for, but was down for a couple days with a bad cold last week, had a lot of beer over the weekend, and have started a protein regiment in the mornings so I'm gonna say it was ok. Goal is under 210 by the end of the month, 213 last night.

Ok, I went keto and off booze 3 years ago March 20th. Dropped from 223 to 193 but bad habits (alcohol) got the best of me and now I'm back to 228.

Had the flu or something for last 36 hours. I'm sure a big weekend of drinking didn't help and it kinda scared me as I was thinking I can't be in too good of health. I've had enough... again.

Checking in: 45 years old, 5'10", 228. Goal is 195 by July 4th.

I totally get it. I struggle with alcohol as well, at least as far as diet and calories go. For a while I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t losing weight despite suffering through eating very little. I decided to track my alcohol intake over a month rather than fooling myself about how much I was putting into each drink. I was shocked at the calories it added up to. I now drink 1 night a week and only 3 drinks. So far so good. Good on you for quitting again.

It's been a struggle and I ought to just walk away from alcohol forever. I used to stretch, 3 sets of 70 push-ups, curls and squats with light weight 3 days a week but just don't feel like it after bombing down two to unknown drinks every evening. Throw in a shitty diet then all of the sudden you're 45 years old, 228 pounds, and thinking, "shit, I've got to do something about this or I'm going to have some serious health issues."

Plus, my knees hurt and I get winded pretty easily. Time for a lifestyle change before it's too late.

45 is relatively young, best to reach 60 with a good fitness level.

This is me... I can eat/drink whatever I want to and hang between 215/220 with no issue. I can even get into pretty good shape cardio/strength wise. When I dedicate myself to paleo I get down to 200ish pretty quick. Cutting back on drinking brings that down to 185/190 and what I think is my good shape at 215 turns into a breeze of a workout. Takes a lot of dedication and I don't do that all year. Probably should but I don't.

I'll probably worry more as I get older. 6-3 and 28 years old so not terribly worried about it currently and the weight isn't terribly hard to shed.

if it was e-z everyone would be fit and at a good weight but 50% or more of the country is obese and a very small % are truly fit and strong.

I sure can maintain a heavy weight, almost the exact weight as you. I can maintain 235-240 forever without trying but I know that’s not a healthy weight for me. At 215-220 I feel much better and can do so much more. At 210 I feel great but I’m constantly being told I look skinny, which tells me, in this fat world we live in, that that’s where I should be.

As Zap said, it’s not E-Z.

started at 265 last August - down to 228, been stuck there for a couple of weeks, goal is 220 I'm 6-2. . been controlling calorie intake and macros with my fitness pal app, not a low carb diet, but definitely a "lower" carb diet. 200g a day of protein. Lifting hard - squat, DL, Bench, Overhead press, or some combination of those 3 days a week, cardio (rower, elliptical, or hiking with the dog - 2 to 3 days a week. worked well so far.
227. Man its getting harder !
