no offense to anyone who lost loved ones to Covid, but it never was a statistical threat..... there are so many things that would look horrific if media covered it like they did Covid (the amount it was covered and how it was covered) i don't underestimate how dangerous Covid was to some people, i understand it, but a lot of things are that we as a culture don't bat an eye at.

the lack of help thing is irritating... people need to go back to work, we don't need half of the population being state beneficiaries as a career..... incentivizing unemployment needs to stop

The businesses crying are part of the problem also because they lay in the gap!

They are suppose to report people who turned down job offers and stuff to get their unemployment dropped, but they don’t!

absolutely! i'm not a doom and gloomer, or a conspiracy theory guy, but this last 1.5yrs has me thinking "what in the heck is happening to this country?" how can we sustain at this trajectory? America hasn't been the world super power acting this way.... it's kind of surreal

we are turning into vag's

Each state runs unemployment departments differently.

Here in Oregon it seems basically impossible to get a claim denied even if you provide all necessary documentation showing the person is blatantly lying to get the benifits. You can spend all the time in the world trying to get employees claims denied that are lying, and the state approves it every time.

Tons of fraudsters and liars getting paid for nothing.

We are not having too much difficulty keeping our more skilled, experienced, higher paid employees, but we have had young people new hires for entry level jobs, and who have no experience, leave on their first day of work during the past 6 months.

Ag companies in my area are experiencing labor shortages and there has been a large increase in H2A programs.
A lot of us in my area are struggling to find entry level workers that can actually accomplish a simple task without needing their hand held. Everyone wants to stay home and pray for another stimulus check.
It is a great time to be a skilled tradesmen, no shortage of work if you have a good network of contacts. The labor shortage for the truly skilled is starting to come to light in my area and I don’t see it getting better anytime soon.

The end result of the “go to school baby and chase your dreams, do what you love. You have your whole life ahead of you” mentality

Yup, and a lot of those people still manage to **** my order up when I didn’t have time to pack a lunch that day.

How could they ever concentrate on that? They usually hard at it listening to music with their air pods. Jamming out

They waived the job apps part. No longer do you have people coming in asking if you are hiring.

Used to be they would ask if you were hiring, when you said no, they asked for an app so they could meet their quota to stay on unemployment.

In Va anyways, it is a state run insurance system so can vary by state. Haven't been able to report.
It's an absolute mess.

Cant help but wonder how the whole pan damn it would have played out if Clinton could have got enough dead people to vote for her in 2016.
And on that note folks I’m out and happy Saturday!

I hope there isn’t more lock downs. I was over it before I began!
Surprisingly I’m still alive. Don’t think I ever got covid and didn’t get the vaccine.

Are the sheeple the one who are no longer dying from COVID or the ones who are still dying from it and dragging down the economy? I am confused.
Someone dying doesn't "drag down the economy". There are plenty of people in America that can fill those positions vacated by deaths. But the government overreach and them disincentivizing actual work in America will not only kill our economy, it will destroy our nation. Sheep can't really think much on their own......so they kind of have to go along with whatever they're told to do. But unfortunately the sheep were also trained to shame anyone that doesn't wear a mask, and now trained to shame anyone not getting the vaccine. Fortunately, shaming doesn't really work very well on species other than sheep.

So another question for the non vaccine people as I’m genuinely curious: If your employer said you either had to get the vaccine or sign a waiver that said health insurance wouldn’t cover any COVID related costs if you denied the vaccine, would you sign or get vaccinated?

I would sign it in a heartbeat. But put another way, if the employer mandated a vaccine that had not yet been approved by the FDA (currently it is under emergency authorization/not approved) THEY should have to sign a waiver saying they are 100% responsible for any and all side effects of that vaccine - and not just medical liability but financially as well.

Fair enough. And what about when it becomes FDA approved? I’m not sure FDA approval will change the equation for most that are against the vax, since it’s just another government agency?
