147 ELDM at 2910 from 6.5 PRC.

In the past 3 years, it's had devastating results on 3 antelope - 654 yd, 308 yd, 386 yd.

I also harvested a cow elk at ~80yds with the same load. Broke the shoulder and passed through offside.

If I could hijack a bit....
I intend to shoot factory ammo in a 22 Creed on deer and antelope. Max 300 yards
Thoughts on ELD-M vs ELD-X from Hornady
I shot 2 antelope with a 22 creed this year. One at 162 and another at 620, both with the 80 eldm. That would be the route I would go.

Personally - 6.5 PRC, 300 Norma, 6 creed

147’s - 1 bull, 3 cows, 5 antelope, 1 oryx some deer
225’s - 2 bulls, 1 bull moose, couple bucks, multiple cow elk
108’s - 2 bucks, multiple antelope

I’ve observed 10 times over with other shooters that it seems with ELDM’s. They flat work and I would choose them over the X every time.

They’re just lethal.

What about the Ms is your preference over the X? I’ve used both, starting to lean toward the Ms myself, curious on your reasoning.

I just started with them and never switched, the x’s work just fine from what I’ve seen. The m is the old Amax or close to it.

Anyone with experience with the ELDM on an animal below 100 yards?

I’ve used the 108 and 147 on whitetail inside 100 and as close 15 yards. In all cases they dropped within 20 yards. Very impressed.

Killed a bear at 40 yards with a 225 @3100 not my best shot but he was missing basically one whole ham. Didn’t go one step.

I did a small whitetail buck at about 40 yards broadside last week- 280 AI, 162 eldm. I was on foot, and he saw me. Between knowing how skiddish whitetail are, rushing the shot, and having NF ffp reticle visibility issues, I made a bad shot that went in at the liver and came out well into the guts. He went uphill over a ridge and didn’t start leaking for about 100 yards, was dead another 50 yards after that.

A buddy and I on a pair of whitetail at 100 yards. 168gr ELDM .308 2600ish MV, and 88gr ELDM 22CM 3060fps MV. 168gr spine shot, massive damage to the deer. 88gr neck/shoulder junction, borderline decapitation. Both deer dead on impact. Too much damage if you hit edible meat inside 100 yards.

I have absolutely crushed Mule deer at 405, 427 and 847 yards with a 180gr ELD-M from a 7mm-.300 Win Mag Improved.

Damn! That’s killer speeds with H1000. How long of barrel and are you into pressure at all? (Not judging, just simply asking)

I only took them up to 3200fps with 84.5gr. H1000 out of a 7-300 NMI and 26” barrel
