Dead Air Nomad Ti XC

Has anyone tried a sico titanium direct thread mount on a nomad xc?

I'm wondering if there is any reason why it wouldn't work.

It would be awesome to not add any length to the ti xc and keep it at 6.3".

If it is a standard hub mount it will work. I switched from Xeno to DT for mine. Less weight and for sure less length. But I used the DA DT hub.

Yes I know the thread will work, but I was thinking about the depth the muzzle would go into the canyon. Since it is completely flush, it would be at least 1/4" or maybe almost 1/2" further in there compared to the DA direct thread. I wondered that could be a problem.

Sorry, should have been more specific

Edit: the muzzle end would be about 0.4" further in the can using the sico hub DT compared to the DA DT and according to the specs on DAs site

After reading about and looking at a few pictures of titanium blast baffle erosion, I think having the muzzle further inside the can could potentially contribute to increased erosion even if it is shot slowly and kept cool. So I may just go with the diligent defense DT mount instead of trying the sico. I have a scythe, so if I wanted to I could swap the DT mount between the two cans (when I get my nomad) to test this out, but don't know if I will.

It would be nice if that worked out without issue. Then I would just use the supplied DA mount on my scythe and the sico mount on the nomad, and not have to buy another mount. The scythe is light and short enough and on a 16" 223, so I wouldn't mind if it was an oz heavier and a half inch longer.
