@SloppyJ and I shot at least 1500 rounds right next to each other with a Raptor 8 and a Raptor 10 with 3" reflexes. They are quiet as hell. Your weight on your chart is accurate tho unfortunately.

After hearing the OG a couple thousand times I am interested in getting a Raptor 6 with a 5" reflex.

But I wouldn't start there; that's just me playing around. I'd get the 8 w/ the 3" reflex. I toted it around for a couple miles moose hunting and all week at Shoot2Hunt. You get used to it.

Totally agree. I had the 10 stack or the BBC as it was referred to... can not, oh well. Anyway, the 8 is probably the best all around option out there IMO. Ill end up with an 8 soon enough. I keep branching out trying this new "tech" and keep going back to my 10 stack raptor or my wolfhunter for smaller calibers. Those are the top two cans that I own and have heard, period.

The OG is purpose built for lightweight hunting. Its a good option if you're honest about being okay with less suppression. The few ounces to get some more decibel reduction is worth it to me but im not hauling my rifle 50 miles on a hunt. The option to run a flush back cap on the Raptor is a plus to me but could be seen as just more parts to keep up with so decide that for yourself. I always shoot it with the reflex section on but its nice to have the option for other rifles with front sights or gas guns.

I have a scythe, ultra 7 and a ti xc. I got the ti xc just to have when my scythe blows up. I really like the scythe, hopefully SiCo eventually gets around to addressing the issue and fixing it because it’s an awesome silencer. The ti xc is cool, it’s light and quiet, you can fairly easily make it a bit lighter too. I sort of wish I’d gotten the longer version though just because.

My favorite silencer is still my ultra 7. I just like the 1.5” can a bit better.

I wouldn't wait on @Formidilosus to jump in. If you read through his posts, you will find he is a fan of the Hyperion K and the OG (which you already have). He has also made the same points that others have made in this thread (i.e. suppressor volume is a big factor). As far as tone goes, that is an individual perception that requires you to actually hear each of them being shot with various cartridges to determine what you like. No amount of forum talk will be able to tell you what tones your ears/brain interpret as "the best". I think all the cans on your list are good for what you plan to do with them. I would add the Hyperion K to the list. It is in the same size/weight range as the rest and it is in stock at Silencer Shop.

All that being said, in your poll I chose the Nomad Ti XC. I have a regular Nomad and it is one of my go-to cans even though it is 4 ounces heavier than some of my others. It has very good suppression and its tone works for what I shoot it with. I have shot the Ti XC version on a 6.5 Creed and a 300 PRC and it did very well. It was a tiny bit more "tinny" than my regular Nomad, but that is to be expected based on construction materials used. The ABs work very well too. A good friend of mine has both the 8 and the 10 and uses them on a variety of rifles including 6.5 Grendel, 6.5PRC, 7RM, and 308. While I have not personally heard the long version of the Diligent, I have shot the short version (7-08 was the cartridge) and it was pretty good as well. I would expect the Long to be even better. I haven't shot the OG, but you already own one of those and I have read your initial impressions on it. The TBAC is a very good can. My only issue with them is that the DT option is just a muzzle device rocksetted into the can. It doesn't add a ton of extra weight and I believe that they are HUB compatable so you could replace the mount system with a Ti DT HUB mount, but it is still a sticking point for me. They do sound good though, especially with "midsize" cartridges (308 family and such). As far as the Scythe goes, I beileve I read that you already own one of these as well and I really don't need to get into further discussion about some of the issues they have been having. That being said, another good friend of mine bought 3 of them on my recommendation (before they starting coming apart) and uses them frequently on his rifles. One of which is primarily used on a 6.5PRC and another on a 300WM. He is super happy with them and obviously has not experinced any failures.

I hope that is helpful.
Out of curiosity, why does it bother you so much that TBACs DT system is a brake locked into the can? It works great, I’ve never had an issue with it. I guess I’ve never considered it at all

After a few years with a couple of 13-14oz steel .30cal cans and a couple of 10-11oz steel K cans, I recently decided to buy a good Ti .30cal, mainly for hunting rifles that wouldn't balance well with the heavier steel cans. After some studying, I went with the Nomad Ti XC. I had a spare DD Ti 5/8 direct mount and it's even lighter. The length/diameter were right for my needs, and I was really wanting to go with a printed can for durability with magnums. Impressed with it so far.

Wasn't addressed to me but i'll weigh in - it's fine, just seems wasteful to glue in a 2 ounce adapter. If they are going to make a semi permanent direct thread interface, why not do it in a manner that keeps things lighter?

As far as weight goes, they did make the hub ultra cans. Must not have sold well cause they don’t anymore.

Anyways I had a fried buy a hub ultra 7 and Tbacs titanium DT hub attachment. Seems for someone wanting to thread direct that would have been an awesome option. Probably a few hub ultras floating around at dealers but as far as I know they are really only putting them on the Magnus line.

Speaking of Tbac, if you don’t find one at a dealer, they are out to well into 2026 now On orders, maybe even 2027.

I just bought a Stealth Additive Works suppressor, very impressive! It’s the Ekron model.

If I was going to buy another ultra7, I’d sell the CB that comes with it and rockset an SRS adapter in there. Save an ounce. Could probably save more weight if TBAC just made it direct thread to start and they’d save some machining effort too.

For reference I have hyp k, dominus, scythe, Lti, raptor 10, plus a few older cans.
Right or wrong, the mounting setup is the primary reason i avoided CGS.
^This
If the thread adapter is needed it makes the hyp k longer heavier and more expensive than other options. Hyp k does stay intact unlike the scythe but is currently my least favorite can.

The raptor 10 w/o reflex is impressive, and what i will be carrying this year.

Breezed through this thread, but...

Why no love for the Jolene? One of the quietest out there, and only $750! Light as heck, not too huge. Jolene S is an option too.

My buddy just bought a Jolene so I'm excited to try it out.

@wind gypsy, that is exactly why. I believe the Ultras are HUB compatible, why not just have a DT HUB mount?

Objectively, the Jolene is 12 ounces and 9.125” long. PewScience rates it well for what it is. Nothing against it, but putting a 9” can on a hunting rifle isn’t something I want to do.

For better or worse, I decided to order the AB Raptor 10 with the 5" reflex. I still want to get a Nomad TI XC, but I decided that the AB Raptor 10 would be more useful on several of my rifles. If I am able to have a good and productive couple of months before hunting season starts, then I may add the Nomad to the collection.

I appreciate everyone who provided advice, experience, and insight.

How have I never seen this before... Definitely about to order one.
