I've shot mine a ton and it's super accurate even out to 600 so I'm contemplating keeping it....... but nothing ruins a hunt faster than an explosion next to your face.

I get that, but isnt this the same series of muzzleloader that was found to have out of spec barrels and CVA was like "no way youre just not using the right bullets!" then they go and discontinue that caliber barrel?

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if there isn't a whole lot of truth in their wording.

If I remember correctly (and I may not LMAO), the statement about the powder shortage came out ONLY after the issue with out of spec barrels started spreading on-line. I'm telling you, BPI does a fantastic job of smothering any kind negative publicity.

Naw, I double load my Accura V2 with RL-26, never clean it, and use it muzzle down as a walking stick all the time. Never had a problem. I'm just glad that it's only the Paramount that has a problem with this.

You could probably do that with a White muzzleloader and be just fine (no, don’t try it…). White did some testing involving those types of loads (including SML and double or triple loads) and obstructions and their barrels withstood just about everything.

Amazing what a well-designed, quality steel barrel will take…..

Fortunately we’ve already discovered they lube the inside and outside of the barrel with Vaseline, so the pain and suffering should be minimal
