Hopefully these beautiful animals, majestic beautiful animals don’t make it very long before dying of natural causes. I hate this, and it shouldn’t be up to a bunch of yuppies to decide on this stuff.

I joined that group, I would bet they let you in as from the looks of things they are anti wolf and hoping they make it to wyoming to get waxed.

I’d make a substantial bet that Polis pressures CPW to recapture them if they leave the state… I read most of the management plan, but don’t remember the recourse if they naturally left the state.

I'm not smart enough to know if this is a right or wrong decision. It's probably not going to "ruin" everything but it'll certainly be a change. Will definitely need to think twice about where to camp and the level of awareness I'll need to monitor our dogs with.

I think it is interesting they dropped them in areas where you have declining elk and mule deer population and issues with calf recruitment and potentially a lot of people.

The biggest complaint I have - and my ignorant ass didn't realize this was a thing before moving to Colorado - are those ballot initiatives, regardless of what they are or aren't, are a breeding ground for what de Tocqueville described as the tyranny of the majority or emphasize Plato's opinion that democracies reflect impulses rather than the pursuit of common good. It's a stupid way to make important decisions.

After the initial release, all other releases have been secret.

And you think there will be a tracking map? 😂
Gotta love that something was so popular that it has to be conducted in secret! Ole polis telling us “it’s the will of the people” such a crock!

Gang rape. Let's vote! If you don't vote you can't complain. If you do and complain you're gonna be bent over anyway. Ain't democracy grand?

"with the consent of the governed..."
I don't consent.

( yeah, still trying to figure out multi-quote)

Has anyone heard any news on whereabouts? Did any of the first 5 make it to Wyo?

Last report I saw say the 5 wolves are alive and well. Still located in Grand County.

Someone even got a pic of one -

I was trying to keep track...

I believe 4 of the 5 headed NE and were last spotted near Hayden ('western Routt, not quite in Moffat') at EOY.

A single, photographed 1/2 still near Radium...I suspect it was ditched by the other 4 (above) and was the one of the group of 5.

2 of the organic (M2101 and F1084) spotted around 1/11 in Jackson Co. Headed S-SE

Track found NE of Williams fork on 1/3. Headed E-NE

I read somewhere that they did not release them within 50 miles of the Wyoming border. They must know that wolves wander and some will get into southern Wyoming where they will be considered predators and will be killed.
