Hi all, I just had a dumb question about Colorado's Goat drawing. I've been trying to figure this out but the Goat brochure just confused my simpleton brain more. Do you still have to pay the $250 for a preference point or do they give you the point and your money back like with other species? Trying to decide if I really want to open this can of worms or just stick to chasing elk. Thanks in advance!

Its the same for all species, You get your money back minus the application fee.

Unless you didn't hold a valid license for any big game, annual fishing or annual small game, then you are charged $40 for the pt. Same as if you put in for just elk points and never hunt or fish.

Yea, I would say for a Colorado resident I would think its a must put in.

Ha, I didn't even pay attention to your location, you would be crazy not to do it and the pt cost if you didn't have any licenses the prior year is cheaper.
