I'll be getting in on this as long as work doesn't get in the way on the official dates. Question about the target, I don't have a 10" circle plate but I do have access to a bigger square plate. Would painting a 10" circle of an opposing color on that suffice? I will be recording with phone skope for proof.

It's the honor system.
Im not sure what you are implying, my question was in regards to this quote below

If a person chooses a distance greater than 600 yards, they first have to go two for two at 600 before they can shoot their max range shots. This will likely gain an extra entry into the drawing.

Instead of five shots like the Cold Bow, we are going to likely go with two shots for this challenge but you still won't be able to practice in between. That means the guys who go for a max past 600 yards will have to shoot four separate days with no shooting in between. You'll have to earn that extra entry.
Just wanting clarification if we post all 4 shots or have to send the first 2 at 600 to be verified before posting the results of our farther shot.

Max shooting distance available to me is 250 yards. 75 minute drive one-way to do that.

Carrying a shooting stick these days and can quickly incorporate into a seated shooting position - on butt, elbows on knees, rifle on stick. How I shot my muley in 2019 (220 yds).

Not stretching to testing anything tho. This is what I do (200-250 yds) to prep for my hunts and will be prepping this year's antelope hunt, starting before too long. If I could physically shoot to 400 at a range, I'd practice out to 400. We do what is available...

Gotta convert all the western states to straight-walled cartridges. Then the critters will have a chance. ;)
You know today's muzzleloaders can shoot 500 yards and beyond very accurately ;);)

This is likely what I'll be doing since most of my plates are 12" squares. Just figured I would paint a 10" circle on the plate.

You'll have to shoot your first two days at 600 yards and hit both days before you can move to anything past that. We'll give an extra entry to the drawing since it will push guys more and take four days to shoot the complete challenge.

If we shoot 600 but miss will that count as our one entry?

I'm looking forward to this the more I think about it. I also think I'm going to impose my own rule for myself where I set my days and shoot that distance no matter the weather conditions. I've always prevented myself from taking some long shots due to wind so this will be a good challenge.

See where you are going!

I did just get a cva optima and have it dialed for 120 w scope. Shots touch from time to time, amazing. Havent gotten a load figured for 200 yet. This load is about 16 inches low and not acceptible. I set range for that one at 150. Shot deer this year at 40 yds.

The “iron sights” are lacking… cheap plastic stuff. The front sight moves if you touch it. o_O

3 more years til i get another ML permit. So wasnt in a hurry. Maybe just put a bdc scope on it. Check for validity and be good to play?
