CO Gov appoints anti-hunter to represent “Guides and Outfitters”

Colorado Governor Jared Polis recently appointed Fran Silva Blayney to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commision as the sole representative for “Guides and Outfitters”. Based on this post, Blayney endorsed a Humane Society petition against CPW plans for regulated harvest of mountain lions and black bears. She also encouraged others to sign this petition. A significant amount of Colorado Guides and Outfitters engage in mountain lion and black bear hunting. Seems like a poor choice to represent guides and outfitters with a stark conflict of interest. This highlights Blayney as a anti-hunting activist and extemist with views far outside the norms of the general public as Colorado voters rejected Prop 127, a mountain lion hunting ban, by a wide margin.
