CO Gov appoints radical animal rights extremist as Director State Land Board

Lol... the irony is not lost on me.

Sadly, no one in a historically red state knows how bad the modern left is until they have total control. People that lean left in MT, WY, ID, etc are insulated from the real effects of progressive policies.

I lived it, it is hell on Earth.
This times 1000x cracks me up, it’s super easy being a liberal in Wyoming… not so easy being a conservative in Colorado where they are actively trying to kill your way of life

Every single week I have to come on here and see what new fresh hell these mouth breathers have cooked up for CO… beyond frustrating

The web of cronyism and collusion between these folks is definitely aligned against Colorado sportsmen. Tutchton, Rosmarino, Reading, McCain, Beaulieu, Murphy, and Marlon Reis are all connected through Southern Plains Land Trust, Center for Biological Diversity, WildEarth Guardians, Defenders of Wildlife, and Rocky Mountain Animal Defense (now defunct). They all hold important positions on the CPW Commission and Habitat Stamp committee. Reading, who publicly endorsed Prop 127 lion hunting ban, is now the CPW Commission Chairman. He will be able to set the tone and agenda of the commission. Expect the active anti-hunting groups like CATS to gain lots of traction with him as the chair.

You all might as well just start enjoying the good old days. There aren’t going to many of them left.

Eh, we (sportsmen from all over) beat 127 pretty soundly. Polis’ days are numbered, he is out after this term, there is a glimmer of hope

Agree. Based on the outcome of prop 127, I’d say there’s a very slim chance this new “wildlife commission” prop passes. There’s also a prop to stop the wolf introduction that’s in the signatures stage at the moment, it’s not all doom and gloom here.

That explains the point creep this year! Everyone has given up and is just cashing in and bailing out...

CoMulies and Hnthrdr said it, we can beat this back, just can't rest on our laurels from 127. No question in my mind that the public lands and opportunities in CO are worth fighting for.

I won’t give up! There is hope. Much of Colorado is conservatives. It’s only
The cities that have the loud voice. I have hope the tide turns a bit and people get fed up with polis and what he has done.

Maybe I’m just overly optimistic but I am thinking whoever replaces Polis will be better. Would be kind of hard to be worse. I think the defeat of Prop 127 signaled to politicians from both state parties that the sportsmen community is a demographic that shouldn’t be ignored.

We just have to stay engaged.

I read on Rokslide there was no Democrat strategy to end hunting… and that was a conspiracy
Well, if you make procuring and owning a firearm so expensive and generally such a PITA , eventually enough people will say, “ Aw to hell with it, it isn’t worth the hassle “, ending hunting would simply be a byproduct, it would seem to me. Along with the other shooting sports as well. I would suspect that’s all the ultimate goal, anyway.
