I don't mean to brag or dismiss some of the decent fish others have shown here. However, sometimes you put it all on the line and haul up something from the depths that defies "luck", that redefines you as a man.

I get it, I know you're wondering how my line didn't snap, how my rod stayed in one piece, how did I last through the fight and bring this leviathan to shore and live to tell? I often ask those same questions as I relive the epic battle. Some things defy explanation.

Got this earlier today, first one since my daughter was born, life got so busy and spent most my time with hunting related activities this was my third trip in four seasons. My cousin and her husband just moved from UT to Boston and bought a sick fishing boat, he’s never tuna fished so we gave it a shot today. Glad I still know how to do it, sticking one of these giants with a harpoon is every bit as exciting as letting an arrow loose on an animal maybe more.

Caught this on rod and reel too so I guess it could be called fishing.

i finally got my kayak wet in Clearlake. nicknamed the bass factory. (jury is still out)

but i found them!! the lake is huge and intimidating. i cant wait till spring and summer when the bass are more predictable (for me).

pic of one of the smaller fish. i was shaking too badly to take good pics of the bigger ones! these fish fight with passion. i felt like i got a GIANT with every bite, only to pull out a decent average fish. so much fun.

My best hatchery fish, and my favorite salt water species.
