We've been fortunate enough to get one every other year or so. The free range, grass fed cows are tougher than shoe leather (even the inner loins).Did it taste good? I've heard cows like that taste like shit. My buddy donated one after declaring it inedible.

Yup, up close and personal to the base of the skull. They drop like a wet rag.All of the on-farm butchers use a .22 to put down steers before they butcher them.
