Am I crazy for preferring out of state-ers?

Lots of Texans where I hunt and I appreciate their friendly, polite, and engaging demeanor.

Glad to hear this from a local. I have sometimes felt that having TX plates in CO was a liability.

Knock on wood, we have had mostly warm receptions in ID. A few guys have ignored us but other than that, most just want to talk about hunting and how lame CA is. It helps that our crew are friendly and engaging. We have offered up rides, water, random assistance to several guys we've run in to. A few we see every year now which is cool, too. Ironically, the most unfriendly encounter we had was with a couple dudes from, yep, California
