It’s not that we suck at non conventional or any other type of warfare….we simply lack the political will to do what needs to be done. We could have wiped every enemy off the map if we wanted to, politics won’t let that happen.I wouldn't go so far as to say we're terrible at winning foreign wars. We just suck at these low intensity, non-conventional conflicts with politicians telling us we need to nation-build. But when it comes to no holds barred conventional warfare, we are the best and the Ivans know it.
Hah! Good point. What do you suggest? I'm struggling for a "good" or "witty" answer. For the love of all that is holy, if we have to fight the Russians, can we pick a better name for ourselves than Wolverines?
I don’t know. I am not good at that stuff but “Wolverines” is not it.Hah! Good point. What do you suggest? I'm struggling for a "good" or "witty" answer.
In the defense of the supposed declining sheep populations of Alaska….. I’d gather all of my ‘gear’ and drive out there if Russia ever decided to play. Post up in some sub alpine. Come down to slay and climb back up to spike.
Real talk tho, it would be insanity on a level few of us could comprehend and would usher in a totalitarian government dictatorship for the whole world if we fought Russia. Just saying. If we fight Russia. Our piece of shit government will use that opportunity to let NATO takeover.
Then we are all ******. The true enemy is the world bank and their lobbyists. Unfortunately America is run by socialists on the verge of taking over. All of this is my opinion.
So no one said that but would be interested to hear how you would go about killing people who want to kill you.Yeah — if only we were allowed to commit straight-up genocide, things would be better.
People in general don't like too or want to kill other people, but sometimes it becomes necessary. If you were in the military, it would not be your decision to invade another country, it would be your duty to follow orders.^
I have no desire to kill people, plus I wouldn’t invade their country and give them a completely justifiable reason to kill me.
"Trump said Putin's smart.' I mean, he's taking over a country for two dollars' worth of sanctions," Trump told a crowd at a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, according to a recording of the event. "I'd say that's pretty smart. He's taking over a country -- really a vast, vast location, a great piece of land with a lot of people, and just walking right in."
Putin aggressive actions towards the Ukraine and other to follow was encouraged at the top level.
I for one am glade you decided to rejoin this topic. I agree with most of what you have to say.The military members do not get to decide who we invade or do not invade, they are at the crappy end of things and trying to live thru it. God Bless our military/vets.
Nobody gets to be the leader of a country by being stupid. Brutal very possible, but stupid not likely. What is your point? Do you agree with Trump that Putin walked in while all of the other leaders did nothing before and after he invaded? I'm one of the many that believe it would never have happened if Trump was still President.
Or, are you offended that someone could call Putin smart?
Or during trumps presidency Russia remained in an annexed part of the Ukraine. Russia with a friendly Whitehouse knew that they had cart Blanche to do what they pleased in the region. Once the regime changed putin was forced to up the ante since he knew biden was a war hawk and needed a new venue for the M.IWhat is your point? I was just done speaking on the comparison of USA wars to the uke war. Being aware that many vets are on here I did not want any comments that I might have made to be misinterpreted. I remain very grateful for all the sacrifices our military, vets and their families have made and are making for our nation.I for one am glade you decided to rejoin this topic. Yeah, the guerilla contingent of Alaskan Putin loyalists would pose quite a threat to our military.Don’t forget Korea, the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Libya…
I think we need to add that Russia and Ukraine (plus some other countries) have a little info on this administration that will not be good if it’s revealed. This gives these countries a little more room to “roam”.Or during trumps presidency Russia remained in an annexed part of the Ukraine. C to dump their arms. So he invades tje entire country so that he can pull back to previously annexed region and sue for peace. A second trump term just delays this and gives Russia 4 more Years to build up the arsenal while the nato allies are weakened by the coming recession and loss of faith in democracy.
