What I find really amazing is the people of California voted further left than the 9th circuit

Fantastic! Hopefully it is appealed to and confirmed by the Supreme Court so we can get rid of magazine bans nation wide including hear in CO.

With the way Roberts has been ignoring the Constitution lately, I wouldn't count on it. But I also didn't agree with Lee's summation as to why this law violates the 2nd Amendment........"strikes at the core of the Second Amendment — the right to armed self-defense". Any lawyer could argue that the "right to armed self-defense" isn't removed by magazine capacity restrictions. The real and only reason that these laws violate the 2nd Amendment is because they "infringe" on our right to bear whatever arms we (the people) deem necessary for self-defense and preventing government tyranny. "Infringements" are specifically forbidden by the 2nd Amendment. That one's cut and dry and obvious.

The courts seem to be ignoring political bias and using precedent and law to decide cases. It is nice to see.

The problem is.......if the CA AG decides to ask the appeals court for a full review and opinion from all justices.......then we'll most likely see that political bias that the 9th Circuit is so famous for.
