I just don’t understand the logic behind laws such as this. A criminal hell bent on using a firearm to commit a crime couldn’t care less.

9th circuit judges initially ruled 2-1 that the California mag cap was unconstitutional, it was appealed and the full 9th circuit ruled overturned that decision 7-4 saying that it is constitutional. I believe it's on the Supreme Court docket now, we have to wait and see if they agree to review the case.
