Did you kill them with the rifle or the mustache?

Little more speed, better groups. I don't know that I can say for 100% certain the primer did all the speed gain as I have been searching for the speed the whole time and am now at 175ish rounds after trying rl26, n570, n565, 215m, 250 cci. All adg brass, brux barrel ( which I have never had one), 134 eld's the whole way.

I did notice enough change in pressure signs with the 215 to 250 to stay with 250

Got my 25 killmore up and running. Plan to do much shooting over the next few months and hopefully put some meat in the freezer.
You're planning on putting the 135 LRHT on game? You going to use a wire drill bit to open the nose a lil to initiate expansion? Just curious.........I know guys have had inconsistent results with the closed/pointed tip Bergers and constant reliable expansion.

Yes sir. Had plenty of great results with the LRHTs so far. I always check the tips to make sure they aren’t blocked and so far I have not had any issues in 6.5 or 30 calibers.

And quite a few more. Sorry, nothing real new & snappy, just the 25-06 Rem 700 6x Leupold and either 100 gr Barnes, 115 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip, or the 115 gr Berger VLD. Ranges out to a bit over 400 yards. All but one muley were one-shot kills. I do love the soft kicking, accurate, lethal 25-06 rifle.

I killed a dozen or so animals with the 135s..pronghorn mulies and one elk. I did drill the tips. Nothing got away..best results were with shoulder shots vs behind the shoulder although those worked as well, just not as dramatic of kills unless impact velocity was higher (>2500fps or so). Fairly small sample size.

The mustache brings them in to rifle range where I can shoot them...😁

Elite! My strawberry blonde crumb catcher has never brought in anything. Do you know if they give Vitamin T injections for the upper lip? Asking for a friend.

To my fellow .257 afficionados, I have some bullets I'm fixing to part with, and if anybody is interested send me a PM.

- 200 Hornady 75 gr HP varmint bullets (these things can scream with the right load of H4350)
- 100 Hornady 110 gr ELDX (one will be pulled from dummy round)
- 100 Speer 120 gr SPBT (one will be pulled from dummy round)
- 32 Nosler 115 gr BT

Thanks!

For all you quarter bore elk slayers, I’ve drawn a pretty good WY tag and want to use my 25-06. 24” Bartlein 1-10 twist. Recommend a bullet. I have 117 Sierras, 115 Noslers and Bergers, and 120 A frames. It shoots all of them well. I’ve been using the 115 Barnes for the last couple of years. It’s been a hammer on deer and antelope.
