    Hunting Stages?

Depends on a lot of things and it's not a linear track. Take duck hunting for example: one day I'll shoot anything that quacks, another day its green only under 15yds with a 20g.

    BBQ Grills

I use it for grilling with as little startup effort as possible. For the last 15 years years, the gas grill has been used 4-5 times/week on average. I have a pellet grill, as well, for when I'm doing longer cooks. I've used the Kamado/Egg style cookers before and know, without a doubt, that I'm...

    BBQ Grills

I’m going to be in the market for a new grill this spring as my 15 year old Weber Genesis is on its last legs (it has been great as I’ve only replaced the burners in 15 years). I’m looking at Napoleon, Blaze, or maybe another Weber. Anybody have experience with any of these, especially the...

    fish recipes

Not fried, baked, broiled, raw or boiled? That doesn't leave much left. Those fish don't do too well grilled. I have done well making fish tacos with the species you have listed. Just pan fry with a light coating of flour. You could also try some fish cakes but they are a little pit of a PITA...

    Boise meetup 2024

Are we gonna have a secret handshake or something? Or just find the group of disheveled dudes with a bad case of the shack-nasties? I’ll be looking for Randy waving around a rifle stock in a brewery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Teton Sports Sale

I think the sale is over. It was a "flash sale".

    Venison Birria, get you some

Not sure how I missed this thread...this is my jam. I've done birria a few times with venison. Along the way, I did a little bit of research on the dish and there seems to be some thought that birria was originally made with vension. My guess is that it was a way to cook the desert mule deer...

    Which Argali knife

I'm with you and the other guy. I found the edge retention and related sharpness to be "sub-optimal". I really liked the shape and the size of the serac. I could get it hair-popping sharp as well as getting it professionally sharpened at one point but found it would dull up pretty fast (less...

    No Bladder Hydration System

It was pretty variable. Just depends on how much water is around. Typically, I'll fill the nalgene/smart water bottles throughout the day but then fill up the hydrapak towards the end of the day if I'm not going to have water near camp. The hydrapak acts as a dirty bag, if that helps explain it...

    No Bladder Hydration System

I ditched the bladder this year. Nalgene on the K4 hipbelt with a smartwater bottle or two in the pack. Befree filter and a 2L hydrapak. I could theoretically carry 5L of water (I have a 4L MSR drom bag if I want more). I really enjoyed not having to screw around with a bladder this year.

I dont understand the hostility towards wolf reintroduction in Colorado

I appreciate that your opinion differs from the general consensus here but your assumptions about what effects wolves have on big game populations go against what has happened in states with wolf populations. Look up historical elk populations in the Lolo zone in ID. Elk have been decimated...
